  • SWEET!!!

"This was our 3rd trip to Eluethera and by far, Nella's Nest was the best value. The house is plenty big for our family of four. 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. Walk outside and you are 50' from the most beautiful peaceful ocean, one could only dream of. 5 stars!!!!"

  • Wonderful!!!!

"This was our 2nd time to TCI, but our first at Victoria's condo. The condo was everything like in the description and pictures...but only better! This 2 bdrm/2 bath/2 story condo is on the second floor of the building with outside access, located on a quiet street just behind the Villa Del Mar. The first level consists of the dining/kitchen/living area, master bedroom (queen bed) with master bath, and second bathroom with shower. The second story is where the 2nd bdrm (queen bed and bunk beds) is located...which was great for our 24 yr old son who traveled with us this year. Although we didn't do much cooking at the condo, it seems to be very well stocked with dishes, utensils, pans, etc. There is also a gas BBQ grill at the pool area for use. I found throughout our stay, my favorite spot was the front porch for morning coffee, an afternoon drink, and evenings of conversation. By frequenting the front porch, we were able to meet our neighbors and enjoy "Garfield" the cat. Maybe it was the time of the year, but we did not use the A/C once! From the time we walked in until the time we had to leave, we opened all the windows to let the cool trade wind breezes through...although we did utilize the ceiling fans. The only load of laundry I did was our towels from the beach, and both washer & dryer worked great. The condo is very well located to everything; although we had a rental car to experience the island, you wouldn't need it here. It is just a 5 minute walk to access Grace Bay Beach, 5-10 minute walk to the bakery, restaurants, shopping, grocery store, and 5 minutes further for more restaurants and shopping. (Some places were walked to were Caicos Bakery, Jimmy's Dive Bar, Danny Bouy's, Pizza Pizza, Graceway Gourmet. Go to FOTTAC in Regent Village to do rum tasting!) We did have to contact Victoria once due to an internet/TV problem, but she responded very quickly and checked into the situation. BTW, before our trip we did contact our cellular carrier to have our phones set up for emergency use, but when we got to the condo, we learned that Victoria had a basic cell phone there pre-loaded for use (and reload at our cost if needed). What a plus!!! Also, a water cooler with 5 gallons of water for use. Those small extras are so appreciated! In the end, we were sad to go. The condo was like our home-away-from-home. Don't overlook this wonderful place just because it's not on the beach... we would definitely stay again!"

  • Yellow House is Fabulous!

"Enjoyed our stay at the little yellow house in February. The location is perfect, away from the hustle of seven mile beach hotels but close enough to amenities such as groceries, restaurants and gas stations. The house is beautifully decorated, very clean and just perfect. The pool was fantastic and we would sight see and hit beaches during the morning and go back to pool in late afternoon. The owner gave us great recommendations and the maps were really handy for figuring out where the closest grocery stores, beaches and other amenities were. Recommendations would be Lighthouse restaurant. (food is ok and a little pricey for what you get but you can’t beat the views!) Tukkas is also good and right up the street. They also have free wifi during happy hour. Rum point and a visit to seven mile is a must. We also enjoyed the botanical gardens which are about ten minutes away. We highly recommend this property!"

Netherlands Antilles Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit Netherlands Antilles Vacation Rentals

The Netherlands Antilles are a group of islands located in the Caribbean. They enjoy a year-round warm tropical climate where the season is defined by the the amount of rain rather than the temperatures. There is little different between summer and winter except that in the summer months, there are higher levels of humidity and greater amounts of rainfall. Late summer is when tropical storms can blow through and this is therefore the low travel season. At other times of year, the islands enjoy a warm climate. The peak travel season is from December to April which coincides with the dry season. This conveniently coincides with the winter season of the northern hemisphere and is a welcome excuse for travelers from the United States, Canada and Europe to escape from the chilly winter temperatures back home.

Traveling to the Netherlands Antilles Villas

The Netherlands Antilles are made up of several islands. Each has its own international airport and good flight connections. Curacao, St. Maarten, Saba, Bonaire and St. Eustatius are the five islands. The airports on Curacao, St. Maarten and Bonaire are equipped to handle long-haul international flights and there are regular commercial arrivals from Amsterdam, Miami, Atlanta, New York City and Caracus in South America. The other islands have shorter runways which can accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. When traveling to one of the smaller islands, you can get regional flight connections. There are also ferry connections between St. Maarten and Saba that operate on a weekly basis.

Attractions and Activities near Netherlands Antilles Resort Rentals

Being tropical islands in the Caribeban, their primary attractions are the beautiful sandy beaches. If you do nothing else on your vacation, you can laze in the sun and enjoy the warm weather and stunning tropical scenery. When you want to cool off, you can g for a swim in the turquoise ocean that surrounds the islands. The islands have magnificent coral reefs and places like Saba are often considered some of the most elite dive sites of the world. Crystal-clear visibility, warm water temperatures, and gentle currents all combine to make for ideal diving conditions.

Rich coral reefs and walls are home to a myriad of reef fish. If you want to see the larger pelagic, you can do some big blue dives or explore the drop-offs. This is definitely a destination where you will want to have an advanced diving certification so you can get to enjoy the very best of the dive sites. Some of the shallower reefs and coral bommies can be enjoyed from the water's surface. Cruises and snorkeling excursions can take you out to the reefs where you can enjoy hours of snorkeling. Make sure you lather on loads of sunscreen when you go on a snorkeling excursion to avoid getting sunburned. On the islands, there are national parks and wildlife sanctuaries where you can go birdwatching and explore nature trails. Sailing is a popular pastime and cruise charters can be easily arranged.

Visitors to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in the Netherlands Antilles

The Netherland Antilles are generally considered more up-market destinations because they are quite remote and expensive. On the island, you will find predominantly European travelers from the Netherlands and France. The islands are becoming increasingly popular with travelers from North America, particularly those who have an interest in scuba diving. The world-class diving is probably one of the main attractions that draws travelers from around the globe. It is also a destination for those who enjoy beautiful beaches and pristine natural surroundings.
