  • Awesome plsce!!

"Just wanted to say that this place is everything we wanted and more. Felipe was accept ion ally helpful and the location is perfect for d San Juan . Perfect walking distance to everything and within a block from an excellent restaurant (St. Germans Bistro). We loved the layout of the apartment but would not recommend the loft ladder bedroom Setup for older couples or kids."

  • Great place for a couple or a small family with little ones

"The staff seemed like a family and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed Cathy and appreciated her good housekeeping and consideration. Upon request she made us a delicious Jamaican dinner: Curried Mutton, Stewed Chicken and Rice and Peas. Also upon request she arranged for a nice young lady to cornrow my daughter's hair. Lewis at the security gate was so pleasant to interact with and very accommodating. It was those types of services that exceeded expectations. The condo was bright and inspiring with the owner's original artwork as well as local pieces. There was a great selection of beach toys and inflatables - great for those with small children. Small water ants and mosquitoes are common (spray and a vaporizer are options at the rental) but neither were significant problems during our stay. The small beach cove and pool were nice features and the ocean view was delightful. The restaurants across the street (Glenn's & The Jerk Center) were very good. We opted for a rental car because we wanted to go on excursions at our convenience. There are so many fantastic attractions close by the rental property. We (even our 4-year old) climbed Dunn's River Falls - it was fantastic, we even liked the beach there(water shoes sold at Dunn's were cheaper than anywhere else); We also went to Bamboo (formerly Reggae) Beach twice and loved it, the day the cruise ship was in was crowded but fun and we got there early so had a good spot; Note: check both Ocho Rios and Falmouth Port schedules to find out when cruise ships will be docked; While driving around, exploring we happened upon the entrance to Blue Hole. They had just closed for the day but several locals highly recommended it (especially for strong swimmers). Lots of helpful information was provided pre-arrival. Champion Foods was the preferable grocery store and Nancy's Cambio gave the same money exchange rates as NCB bank with much shorter lines. The condo met all our needs and the rental process was straightforward. The owner was very pleasant to interact with and always responded promptly. We had a great time and were so glad we chose the property."

  • The best location on Rum Point and maybe Grand Cayman

"This beautiful unit (which has gorgeous views from every room and a fantastic porch) is perfect for families, couples, and multi-generational groups. We snorkeled to the reef every day and managed to even get our 94 and 91 year old grandmas in the water. Rum Point next door can keep the teens happy. The Retreat is well run and management offers good support as needed. Good restaurants in the area save the trip to town."

Netherlands Antilles Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit Netherlands Antilles Vacation Rentals

The Netherlands Antilles are a group of islands located in the Caribbean. They enjoy a year-round warm tropical climate where the season is defined by the the amount of rain rather than the temperatures. There is little different between summer and winter except that in the summer months, there are higher levels of humidity and greater amounts of rainfall. Late summer is when tropical storms can blow through and this is therefore the low travel season. At other times of year, the islands enjoy a warm climate. The peak travel season is from December to April which coincides with the dry season. This conveniently coincides with the winter season of the northern hemisphere and is a welcome excuse for travelers from the United States, Canada and Europe to escape from the chilly winter temperatures back home.

Traveling to the Netherlands Antilles Villas

The Netherlands Antilles are made up of several islands. Each has its own international airport and good flight connections. Curacao, St. Maarten, Saba, Bonaire and St. Eustatius are the five islands. The airports on Curacao, St. Maarten and Bonaire are equipped to handle long-haul international flights and there are regular commercial arrivals from Amsterdam, Miami, Atlanta, New York City and Caracus in South America. The other islands have shorter runways which can accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. When traveling to one of the smaller islands, you can get regional flight connections. There are also ferry connections between St. Maarten and Saba that operate on a weekly basis.
