"If you are the type of person/people that love nature, camping, and moving away from crowded cities, then you are looking for the suitable place. For us as a family with an 11 year old daughter, who loves to explore wild places, Cane Bay Campground was totally unexpectedly luxurious! The cabin, camp site, and bathroom facilities were perfectly organized and cozy. Thanks to the owners Jill and Bryan Updyke, the best, warmest, and friendliest hosts who made us feel at home. P.S. You do not need to bring an alarm clock with you, there is a rooster that will bring joy with his cry's in the morning! =]"

  • Romantic Pink House

"After you have snorkeled your way down to the point and seen sea turtles, rays, and fish galore it is nice to step onto the beach, fall into a lounge chair and sip your favorite beverage while in the shade of palm trees. The Pink House sits 5 steps above the beach with a wrap around porch that overlooks Sir Francis Drake Passage and many sailboats anchored at Cooper Island. You are practically part of the beach with double doors that let you see the ocean from your bed and windows throughout that let the trade winds cool the room. The covered porch is a delight to sit on and watch the boats and water traffic. An outdoor shower helps complete the beach living experience. (There is an indoor shower also.) The interior of the cottage is an "L" shaped room with a queen bed straight in the doors and a kitchen to the left. The kitchen is well equipped to make meals with a propane stove and refrigerator. A small table to eat at is present, but we ate on the porch consistently. We had the house provisioned by an outfitter for the durable goods and shopped for fresh items in Road Town before taking the boat over. We survived in the evening with candle light, although the 12V electrical system powered the fan and LED lights without a problem. We charged phones, computers, portable speakers, etc. during the day and it worked fine. The owners were very responsive and helpful in the setup for the trip. On island they have a caretaker that will help with moving in and picking up extra supplies if you need them."

  • The Best!

"We have been diving Bonaire for about ten years and have sampled quite a few accommodations and have found most of them to be great. However, we knew when we opened the door that we would want to return. The unit is spacious and nicely decorated having everything one might need. The location and proximity to dive gear and reef made for easy last dives of the day. we started our day with a long swim right out front and often ended with a twilight/ night dive. From coffee at the waters edge to sunsets there, the mood was relaxed. The owner was most helpful with the booking also. We hope to be back on Bonaire next year and probably will schedule our time around the availability of this unit. Back in the cold. Northeast now but loving that also."
