  • Great Villa in perfect Cabo Rojo Location

"This was our second time staying at Villa Taina. This Villa was bigger and more modern than others in the complex. Most villas have only 1 bath, but this one had 3/4 bath facilities downstairs, cutting the family shower waiting time in half. The villa is spacious and it is apparent it grew as it was remodeled, giving you more inside space in the rooms and living areas. Kitchen had all the items needed to cook and we used some available folding chairs and coolers for the beach. There is also a clothes washer and a grill at the villa. Buyé is the best beach around and its not far. On-site security guards were great providing directions and other useful info. Love the private beach, especially late in the day as it is so peaceful. Just remember to put some OFF at night due to mosquitoes and plenty of lotion during the day to avoid getting toasted. Price is great, considering it will cost you way more if you stayed in El Poblado (Boquerón). If cooking a lot, would recommend you get groceries/beer before getting there. We stopped at a Mayagüez Pueblo store, way cheaper and better selection than some of the small local stores. The owner was prompt answering questions and sending the needed info to book the place. This is the first time I use VRBO and won't be the last."

  • A very nice stay!

"The apartment was perfect for our short visit. We wanted to explore some of the popular local beaches and enjoy a few days of down time in the quiet town of Cabo Rojo. The gated property was beautiful, the sunsets amazing, but you can not swim at this beach. It was a beautiful little beach with calm waters, but not safe to swim In because of the drop off. But our plan was not to stay put during the day so it did not really effect our trip. The apartment had beach chairs for us to use, so we packed our cooler and took off each day to explore, snorkel and relax. We enjoyed the pool in the evenings after our visits to some of the public beaches, which were beautiful, and watched the sunset before dinner each night. We enjoyed some very good seafood restaurants very close to the property as well. We loved our stay, the beautiful beaches, the quiet little town of Cabo Rojo, and the little dog that adopted my son during our visit, making it very difficult to leave at the end of three short nights."

  • lovely, large rental

"the owner was very fast and helpful with all communication - by email and text. we flew in SJU, and she met us there. since we weren't going to back to SJU after our stay at her rental, she told us a very clever way to leave behind the keys and gate opener. the area the rental is located in is very quiet and secluded; it's also on a gated property - at the time there were very few other people around. there is also a small shared pool, which we didn't use - we weren't sure if we were allowed to even though no one would probably would have known if we did. the rental itself is very large for just two people. we arrived on a sunday, and the bar behind the property was blasting music, which ended around 11 pm so not too late. this was obviously just a weekend thing. we decided to sleep in the front smaller bedroom instead of the master bedroom, which has a large walk-in closet. the whole place is nicely appointed with air conditioning. the wifi was spotty but worked. we paid the nominal extra fee for cable, which was pretty limited. the tv itself isn't great, but ultimately this was negligible. the main bathroom has some water damage from the shower spraying behind the curtain, but you can affix the curtain so it doesn't. we decided to visit this corner for puerto rico for playa sucia, which was as beautiful as i hoped. it was maybe just a 10 minute drive at the most. we would definitely stay here again."
