"Elaine From Boston Writes: Our extended family of 7 was enchanted by our lovely bungalow in Las Palmas. The property was justa s it was described and there was plenty of information supplied to operate the home. Every morning as each of us awoke we wandered out of our cool bedrooms and quietly started our day with coffee and our 'first breakfast' by the pool. We spent a lot of time lazing, reading and floating in that space, reconnecting and enjoying each others company. The Beach Club was well worth the $15 price of admission. With lots of space around the pools and bars we played Volleyball, Basketball and rode the water slides like we were kids again...and the beach and ocean waves were only a few paces away for the more adventurous. They gave us towels and put chairs wherever we wanted and there was enough shade under the palms or umbrellas. Don't miss Old San Juan for some local culture and great food. The fort has spectacular views for photo ops and the colorful old buildings are charming. We ate at The Parrot Club and had wonderful Mojitos and local fare. The guys even stopped into a cigar shop for some moonshine and smokes! We did venture off to Loquillo for a day and enjoyed the beach there too. Especially the Kiosks and restaurants on the beach. But mostly the charming Villa Familia was all we needed to unwind and reconnect. It has everything you need. I highly reccomend this property"

"My family and I stayed during 5 days in this wonderful apartment, where our children and nephews enjoyed a lot around the different pools, playground areas and surroundings. The apartment was beautiful, clean well located (great ground floor), in front of the main pool so we can check our children all time, near the access to the beach and with everything you need. The balcony was great wonderful breezes day and night. We recommend this place to everyone. The owners are very nice and quick to respond. We were yet planning our next staying at Aquatika..."

  • Perfect vacation!

"Our family of 4 stayed for a week and had a fantastic time! This was our first trip to PR and we debated about staying in San Juan, Rincon, or Fajardo. Fajardo was a good pick because it is near a lot of activities. It’s quiet and right near ocean, but with enough amenities nearby to be comfortable. On the drive from the airport you will pass a wide variety of areas. Pena Mar Ocean Club will be everything you expected and is in a nice area. It is also gated, extremely well maintained, and occupied by a good mix of full time residents and vacationers. Luisa’s apartment is excellent and just as advertised. It is nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, quiet, and with a nice ocean view from the patio. Everything was sparkling clean. In the morning you can see the sun come up over the water and view of the marina - very picturesque. We were up early every day and too tired to do much at night, so having use of the facilities at Pena Mar was perfect. The basketball court and pools kept our teenagers entertained, and everyone appreciated having the WiFi, flat screens, and comforts of home. There is no food on site so be prepared to get groceries which are about 15 minutes away and not difficult to find. Luisa provides a very detailed book with local recommendations. If you want to try some of the paid tours it’s a good idea to go online and book when you first arrive or in advance. We tried and recommend the East Wind catamaran trip; Pure Adventure Biobay kayaking tour; Carabali Ranch; and Camuy Caves. Our favorite trip was a day trip on the SS Tobias to snorkel off of Culebra. Luisa also knows a local tour guide/driver for day trips. We did this for the Camuy trip and highly recommend."

  • Amazing view

"The property had an amazing view. Morning cup of coffee in the balcony was heavenly. It was contemporary and the ampliances were modern. The property has three pools and all were at easy access. It is a gated community with security around the clock. Only suggestion is if you have any questions or are planning any excursions, reach out to Hansel for guidance. My rating is 4 as I wished it was closer to the beach. Other than that it was home away from home."

Ceiba Travel Tips

Ceiba Vacation Rentals in The Land of Trees

Ceiba, Puerto Rico is named after the ceiba trees, a gorgeous tropical plant that grows thick, tall above-ground roots that can be as tall as an adult human. Whether you are interested in visiting these impressive trees with a walk in the nearby rainforest or prefer to spend time on Ceiba's beaches, lodging on one of the Ceiba vacation rentals is a wonderful way to improve your experience. Many Puerto Rico resorts also have private cottages and villas where you can enjoy privacy and a large, well-equipped space of your own.

The Soup Eaters

Locals to Ceiba are known as "Los Come Sopa," which means "The Soup Eaters." Although nobody is completely sure where this name came from, it is believed that locals used to eat mostly soups when meats were scarce or difficult to procure.

Whether you decide to eat soups, salads, or steaks, one of the benefits that you can enjoy by staying in one of the Ceiba vacation rentals is the use of your own kitchen. You can enjoy coffee in your pajamas, an omelette in your bathrobe, or mofongo (a local favorite made from mashed plantains, often served with breakfast) in the buff.

A World of Your Own

Cieba travel for vacationers is sometimes simply trips to and from the beach. Long days at the beach may be in store for you on your trip to Puerto Rico, but one of the best parts of staying in one of the Ceiba vacation rentals is that, when you return to your cottage, house or, villa, you have a world of your own. You can rent a privately owned house or a villa or cottage that belongs on the grounds of a Puerto Rico resort located in Ceiba.

This is a wonderful luxury for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway, families who don't want to worry about their rambunctious young ones disturbing sleepers in the next room, and anyone who just wants a generous space to themselves while on vacation.
