Casa Ballena for relaxation, fun, views, and quality time
"Casa Ballena in Guánica is an ideal vacation rental for all the reasons previous visitors have stated and much more. Our family of 8, sometimes 10, arriving from the bitter cold up North, was always comfortable and relaxed. The tropical atmosphere of the quite well-maintained house, the ceiling fans, the air-conditioned bedrooms (especially important in the summer months), the magnificent view of Guilligan Island and the proximity to that paradise, the pool, the lovely gardens with a hardy guayacán tree, the comfortable kitchens with all its tools and gadgets (we took the house upstairs and the full apartment downstairs), the BBQ, the three terraces with dinner tables and chairs and one of them with a sectional sofa too, and the quiet (even on New Year’s Eve), everything made the visit easy and enjoyable. Jeffrey, the administrator, and his family couldn’t have been more helpful. All our questions and requests were promptly answered.
There are also nearby must-dos and must-sees: the lovely beaches in Guánica, Cabo Rojo, Salinas; the city of Ponce; the Cabo Rojo lighthouse; and so much more. If you want a relaxing vacation, Casa Ballena is the place to go."

"My family enjoyed our stay at the Palmas Del Mar resort. The condo was great! The view of the courtyard & pool area was great from the balcony. The condo was more spacious than the pictures eluded to. Honestly, I don't think the pictures do the place justice. The only trouble we had was with the wifi the first night. I emailed the owner & he was very prompt & helpful in getting it resolved. We ate at a restaurant in the resort the first night, which had very good food & service. We spent the majority of our time in Fajardo, which is only about a 35 minute drive from the resort. There is lots to do there. We also took a water taxi to Palomino Island & Icacos Island. Simply beautiful!! Just be prepared if you go to Icacos Island, to take plenty of water & food. There is nothing on the island...it's just an island. We would definitely come back to stay!"

fabulous clean comfortable and conveniently located
"We loved staying at Luisa and Homeros condo in Fajardo in late March. We were 2 couples and we were thrilled with the spacious clean comfortable rooms their condo provided. Luisa kindly responded to our emails in advance and met us when we checked in. The condo is fully equipped including sunscreen, bug spray, rain ponchos and beach towels. They have not forgotten a thing to make their renters feel totally comfortable and at home. We loved the access to the marina and would highly recommend Castillo tours cataraman snorkeling trip which gives 20% off to Luisa's tenants. La Ola is a wonderful bar restaurant overlooking the water just across the street from the gated community where we enjoyed having drinks. lthough we did not avail ourselves of the tennis courts and basketball courts, they are accessible and right on the property. We would come back here again when we travel to the Eastern part of Puerto Rico and found this location to be great for many day trips including Toro Verde Zipline, Rancho Buena Vista Horseback riding, El Yungue, Vieques day trip, and the bio luminiscent bay. We thank Luisa and Homero for sharing their beautiful home with us."

"We stayed three nights in this property and wish we could have stayed for more! Alana was extremely helpful in the lead up to our arrival, offering information on activities and answering all of the questions we had for our first trip to Puerto Rico. The location, just a block up from the beach, is just what we were looking for - with lots of food and beverage options within walking distance. The condo itself is very spacious - there were 2 of us but it could easily have fit 4 (with 2 sleeping on the futon). The big balcony and doors that open to let the fresh air in was amazing. The furnishings are nothing fancy but they are functional and provide a good home base for a relaxing trip to Puerto Rico. There were beach towels, sunscreen, beach chairs and more available which was a welcome surprise."
