"Our family went to Puerto Rico to celebrate the wedding of our youngest son and his fiancé. We rented this villa to accommodate our middle son and his family, (wife and three children) and my 87 year old mother also stayed with them. This was just what they needed. Having no stairs to climbed helped my mother, and we didn't have to worry about the three year old taking a tumble either. We had a couple of family meals at the villa, that were prepared using the provided kitchen ware and dishes. Everything we needed to cook and serve was there. We grilled out on the deck one evening. It was great family fun with plenty of room for them and the four extra people who were invited. My mother loved sipping morning coffee that she had made in the kitchen with her grandson on the deck. Two bathrooms for a group this size was a must. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Plenty of beds for everyone. We had access to clean swimming pools and beautiful beaches with beach toys provided. The golf cart was very handy to have. Rene and his wife met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know. We were running late because of rental car backup, and Rene and Norma stayed with us until we were settled. They were very patient with us; even helping us track down a lost bag at the airport. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. We had a great Puerto Rican wedding week, and this villa and its owner helped make it so."

"It was a real plus to get Beach Club passes when we rented Villa Familia. Our group used them to play tennis at a discount, visited the health club for morning workouts, and we all enjoy visiting the beach club for several of the days we stayed at your house. Thanks so much. The walkers in our group really enjoyed strolling the mile long beach every morning and the two golfers among us played the two different golf courses, enjoying them both. We found the house comfortable and large enough for our group. Using golf carts we could go from the house everywhere in the resort and several evenings traveled through the balmy air in the carts for dinner out. For me sitting outside with my morning coffee by the pool in a T shirt and shorts was enough reason to come back next year. Nice house, great resort. Thanks again."

"absolutely beautiful, the pictures, which are magnificent, do not do this property justice! we had lots of mamas and babies with us and we had plenty of room with lovely family spaces for playing and dining. the property manager was more than helpful, knowledgeable and available. plus we were lucky enough to have a chef (allison west) recommended to us, who fed us well with local foods. the town itself is low key and has amazing beaches that are close by or walkable."

"We are a family of five who stayed over four days after a cruise. We wanted something away from the party atmosphere of San Juan, and boy did we find it! We were here in the middle of September and we are pretty sure we were one of two condos that were occupied while we were there. We were there during the peak of hurricane season, so we knew there wouldn't be a crowd of people there, but wow! We had the pool to ourselves every time we went down.
We were only 30 minutes from the airport in Ceiba where we took a 15 minute flight to Culebra. We purchased airplane tickets on Air Flamenco the same day and only paid $45ish a person each way. We spent the day on Flamenco Beach and had a blast. A drive through El Yunque is a MUST. Leaving Rio Mar, an entrance is directly across Hwy 3. We only spent an hour or so driving through a couple of the falls and a climb up a tower with great views. A half or full day could be spent here hiking. Beautiful views and great scenery.
The food in the area is amazing. We were close to an Amigo grocery store and Walgreens - which is right across from our favorite place to have breakfast and lunch - La Familia Bakery 2. The pastries are great but the SANDWICHES are AWESOME. We also ventured to the Luquillo Kiosks, which were packed on the weekend and pretty cleared out (and only half were open) during the week. Cool experience. Great place to buy souvenirs, too. We ate dinner one night at Don Pepe's - at the entrance to Rio Mar from Hwy 3. DELICIOUS food and really fun, cozy and unique atmosphere, but be prepared to wait an hour and a half for your food. It's worth it though. The only "eh, it was okay" meal we had was in a restaurant in the hotel next door.
The view alone is worth the stay. The view from the balcony - watching the sunrises and sunsets - Amazing! We explored the area and found it to be absolutely stunning. The grounds are very well kept and so very tropical and lush. Xavier was more than accommodating before and after our stay. We didn't require assistance during our stay - everything was very well planned before our arrival! The condo was clean and met our needs. We didn't spend much time there, but we did watch a little TV, used the WiFi and both worked without issue. Xavier and his team were wonderful to work with and we'll certainly be back!"
