"Our flight was delayed. Instead of arriving at 1pm we arrived at midnight and Enrique met us with a smiling face. Great resort, clean, great condo. It's an older crowd here and that makes it quiet but very friendly. The beach is just feet past the pool. We will be back!"

  • A Flawless Caribbean Vacation

"Upon arriving after an easy drive from San Juan, my wife, three adult kids and I were met by Rosanna, who was extremely friendly and helpful (including sharing tips for local trips). The villa is in outstanding condition. The living room is so comfortable and the entertainment unit so great with HDTV we had a hard time dragging the kids to activities vs. watching Euro soccer, NFL games, etc. The master suite, separated from the other 2 BDRs, is huge, with a great shower and walk-in closet. All 3 BDRs have great TV's with cable, comfy beds and great linens. The dining area off the kitchen works well. The terrace off the LR was the most used space, where we enjoyed early morning coffee watching the sun rise over the Caribbean. Photos don't do justice, as the views all day, and night are spectacular, and you have an unencumbered front row seat. The kitchen is well-equipped and stocked with all the elements of home. There was nothing missing. And everything in the villa worked flawlessly, efficiently. (We have experienced the opposite elsewhere and its a drag). Here the ice maker, DW, washer/dryer, cable TV, stereo, shower water pressure and hot water, etc were, again, flawless. This is clearly a proud home used by the owners who share it with you rather than offer it to rent. It makes a big difference!! We all loved the pool, finding it the best in all our years of travel. Well maintained, it is cleverly designed on multiple levels with waterfalls, tons of chairs and tables, full bathroom facilities, hammocks, and the largest and best functioning whirlpool. Each afternoon near 5 pm we headed to the beach with wine/beer and snacks to watch the eastern sky fill with color from the sunset behind us, and then the moon and stars rise over the Caribbean. We always stopped on the way back to the villa for a soak in the whirlpool and more sky gazing. Grocery shopping was an easy 10 minutes away in Humacao. The resort host many good restaurants - our favorite was Cafe del la Plaza - excellent fresh seafood both times. We had a great snorkeling trip to Vieques on Matt's Cat, anchored at the marina. The snorkeling was excellent and the crew very helpful and sweet, and they had top-notch gear included in the cost. We didn't venture anymore; the villa, pool, beach & weather so wonderful, it was hard to justify leaving. We will return for more activities - especially El Yunque rainforest. This is an unconditionally great home to rent in an ideal Caribbean location."

  • Pretty, clean, nice decor, old appliances

"The place was spacious, and easily and comfortably rested our 7 people. It was very clean and the decor was chic and charming. The entire Palmas Del Mar complex is quite swanky. The sandy and palm-tree lined beach, while scenic, has rough surf and current and signs warning against swimming; the waves are also thick with seaweed. The pool is smallish and warm, and closes at dusk. Lots of steps to climb to this condo, which was an issue for elderly grandma and teen daughter on crutches (who tripped at El Yunque and broke her foot). The balconies each have huge noisy AC units, not suitable for sitting out on. Fridge was as loud as a room fan, dryer broke, shower fixtures were on their last legs. A few restaurants in the complex, pricey but not outrageous; Humacao is a 10-minute drive with a wide selection for eating and groceries. Met very friendly neighbors during the evening and we chatted a long time -- looks like most people staying here are locals. Fair price and it fit our needs."

  • Family of 5

"Condo was very nice and had plenty of space. It was located within easy walking distance to Palmanova Village, tennis courts, and the playground. Robert was very helpful and the golf cart he provided was excellent. You can walk to the beach in about 10 minutes but it was more convenient to take the golf cart. We love Palmas for our family vacation. It is centrally located to many exciting things to do in PR."
