"Rented this property for a week very convenient for exploring the east side of Puerto Rico. Close to the Rainforest, Fajardo and the ferry to Culebra or Vieques, as well as several small towns with beaches. The house itself was nicely furnished. Great swimming pool and back yard. No views, and no A/C on those warm afternoons but the fans kept the air moving. Mosquitos after dark--came home with a few bites! Only complaint, and why I didn't give a five star rating, is that the wifi/internet never worked. I notified the owner, who was on the island, and he said he would come look at it. Never heard from him again during our week's stay, and never had internet. Frustrating when, in our electronic world, you can't MapQuest out the next day's journey or check email, etc..."

"This space has an amazing view. It was clean. It is old and a little rough around the edges but for the space and price it is worth it. It is tucked away in the beautiful mountains so plan on driving about an hour everywhere. We felt safe and the guards at the entrance were friendly. We walked to the nearby beach although it is not for swimming it still is beautiful. Due to the fact that it is tucked into the mountains do expect to hear many nature sounds. Air is only circulated by open windows which at night gets a little loud. The air conditioner in the master bedroom works great but is loud. If you are looking for a true Puerto Rico experience this offers it. You aren't city living at this place, which we loved. Bring extra bedding. Not a lot of kitchen appliances so don't plan on making big meals. Stock up on toilet paper and paper towels. Make sure and bring your own beach towels. Hot water works great for shower time. Truly, for the views and price you can't find anything better. Wifi works good. Cable TV is nice. We stayed for 8 nights. We are a family of 6. One room had 3 twin beds. One room had futon and full bed. Master had queen bed, light bedding on all beds so bring some extra. 2 bathrooms. 2 balconies. Main balcony is off of family room and is good size."

"We just returned home to the worst winter in New England for 10 years! We had the good luck of missing two entire weeks of it, snow storm after snow storm, while we enjoyed ourselves at Casa Soleada. This is our second consecutive February visiting Casa Soleada. We love the views, find the house comfortable in every way, and use it as an excellent base to travel about Eastern Puerto Rico. This year we explored Palmas Del Mar, one of Puerto Rico's finest resorts, which Casa Soleada looks down on from its amazing location. The resort offered us access to 15 restaurants and the beach; because the owner of Casa Soleada is a member there we were able to visit the lovely Beach Club complex using the provided guest passes. The resort is just a six-minute drive from the Casa, but no one in the resort had our amazing views and lovely breezes. Oh, to be back relaxing by the pool and soaking up the rays!"

"If you are looking for a 5-star resort with pampering and room service, this is not for you. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation with home on the beach and a taste of the local island culture than look no further. Located on the end of a quiet road this home is well equipped with everything you will need. If not, than a supermarket and gas station are within a 5 minute walk and a Walmart a 5 minute drive along with many food and shopping options. The neighbors are very friendly. Eva, across the street, has lived there for 50+ years and says everyone in the neighborhood are her family and crime is not an issue.
We had a small group of 6 and had a small wedding on the beach in front of the home. Room in home many more and is well equipped with kids toys for the beach. We strongly recommend doing a trip to Calebra. We went with East Island Excursions and went to Flamenco Beach (rated top 5 beach in world by Travel Channel). El Yunque is also close by.
Can't wait to come again!"
