"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Casa Soleada and the wonderful low 80 degree temperatures of Puerto Rico (PR) in late February. The house was clean, tidy and very charming. I liked the layout, the bright colors and airiness of the house. Although it was a challenging climb up a narrow and winding road to get to the house, once there the house offered privacy with gorgeous views of the ocean and the various towns below. Humacao is located close to many sites along the eastern coast of PR. We enjoyed visiting the El Yunque Rain Forest, Luquillo Beach, and the island of Viegues to name a few. Since we were sightseeing during the day, we didn’t get to enjoy the pool which always looked so inviting. Unfortunately, by the time we returned from our travels, it was a little breezy and overcast for us to use the pool. However, we did enjoy the view and reading from the patio around the pool. Casa Soleada had internet service which allowed us to stay in touch with our family and a TV. Jim, the owner, was fabulous at answer questions I had before traveling to PR and he provided a nice travel packet which we used frequently during our stay."Guest: joyce W. "Our family - husband, wife, daughter (14 yrs.), son (11 yrs.) - recently spent 6 nights at this condo. We had a great stay! The location was perfect for us...close enough that we could drive to the attractions we wanted to visit yet secluded enough that we felt we were truly getting away. The condo and grounds are very well maintained, and the gated access to the complex (with security guards) provided a nice sense of security. We had a rental car, so we made day trips to the sites we wanted to visit: Toro Verde Adventure Park (~1.5 hours), El Yunque Rain Forest (10 minutes), Luquillo Beach and Kiosks (10 minutes), Old San Juan (~30 minutes), Laguna Grande (~30 minutes). Mari was great before the trip. She answered all of my questions and was very responsive to my emails and phone calls. She even mailed us tourism booklets and provided directions to the condo from the airport along with recommendations for restaurants and local grocery stores. The condo itself was very clean and is stocked with pretty much everything you need - pots/pans, beach toys and chairs, towels, and even detergent for the washing machine. Our kids especially loved using the boogie boards at the beach. Overall, this place was even better than advertised. A definite thumbs up!"Guest: Kevin Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 31, 2014View listing
"The pictures simply do no justice for this property. It was spacious and provided an awesome view of the Ocean. We have been traveling to Puerto Rico for about 10 years now and was blown away with this property. We have two children who love the outdoors and the Parrot and Turtles on the premises was a nice touch. We would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet peaceful time to stay here. Thumbs up!"Guest: willie b. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 21, 2014View listing
"The house itself is good, but the outdoor spaces are truly amazing. We stayed a week and we loved it. From its very private beach the house, surrounded by coconut trees, looks like something straight off of a postcard. There are three beautiful outdoor spaces: a large deck, complete with very comfortable hammocks; a lovely breakfast terrace; and a huge covered open-air patio. Also had a wonderful experience interacting with Carmen. She met every one of our requests, and arranged to have someone there to greet us very late at night. Because PR does not always have street addresses, finding the house the first time can be tricky and we got lost for about 15 minutes. But then someone immediately drove out to meet us and we followed him back to the house. Many good and affordable roadside restaurants are within walking distance. The house has two stories; we stayed on the ground level. Each room has two beds: one double and one twin. The rooms remain cool throughout the day. The powerful bedroom air conditioners immediately chilled the rooms at night. During the weekend, things got noisy next door, but did not continue all that late - and then during the week the house was peaceful, relaxing, and very private. We loved staying here and loved how thoughtfully Carmen arranged to meet our requests."Guest: carrsa Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 15, 2014View listing
