Pros w/minor Cons
"Pros - Beautiful apartment, very clean, spacious, lots of games & entertainment, balcony hammocks were great, apt. remained cool (even w no AC in living room) & best of all - 2 bathrooms! Convenient stackable washer/dryer. Very comfortable for 5-6 people. Close to beach, across the street from BD Cafe (cool coffee shop). Quiet neighborhood. Owner James was very attentive.
Cons - shower pressure was low. Gate remotes not working, had to park in empty lot next door (not so bad). Ants like kitchen (must keep counter tops clean, crumb free to avoid them).
We would return & recommend. Thanks!!"

"I was looking for a place that was not too small and cramped. Its difficult to determine, looking at pictures, how spacious an apartment is. Casa Palmas was absolutely perfect in this regard. Lots of room, both indoors and outside. That the apartment was so well maintained and well equipped was an added bonus. And then there is the view and the ideal location, on a quiet corner near to not only the beach but also the town. We spent the second half of our vacation on the east coast but wish we had stayed put in Casa Palmas. We will most certainly be back for more."

"This house was comfortable, spacious and beautiful. We have always had a good experience with VRBO homes, but this was one of the best. The pictures are completely accurate and the house is all that and more. We loved that the house was so close to the beautiful beach for relaxing and snorkeling (pelican's dive bombing all over!) and that it had a pool. It was tough trying to decide where you wanted to read and relax first! The choices were plentiful...the 2nd floor deck (with lots of comfy chairs and benches), the main covered deck, the pool, the living room(s)! We loved the outdoor shower (so refreshing)! The kitchen was beautiful and functional and we prepared many a meal together and ate on the covered porch.
We want to tip our hat to Robert, the Property Manager, who gave us our first tour of the house and suggested plenty of of restaurants and places to go. We knew if we needed him, he would be there in 5 minutes to help. He even helped us find a local place to paddle board at the Black Eagle Marina in Rincon.
We stopped by Crash Boat Beach and wish we had more time to spend there as it was the most beautiful water and scenic spot.
There are a lot of nice local beaches especially right in town. Steps Steps was fun, but get there early....otherwise there is no where to park. We booked a snorkel trip with Taino Divers (also at the Black Eagle Marina in Rincon (look for the Taino Divers sign by road) to Desecheo Island, which was great....they take you to two snorkel spots around the island. We also drove an hour and a half south to the light house and then ate dinner at Puerto Parguera (definitely recommend) before taking the night time kayak tour of the bioluminescent mangroves under the starry night. Definitely worth the trip!
The tour book at the house was very helpful. I found information about yoga, the Tamboo Bar and massage. I brought my daughter to have her 1st massage (Sweet 16) to Annette Weinnmer at her beach house is Rincon (her number in book).
We did not get to the San Sebastian waterfall (will have to save it for our next trip down). It is recommended that you get there at 9 AM or it will be too crowded and no parking. This place is about 1 and a half hours east of the house.
There are plenty of near by restaurants and fresh fruit stands.
The Rincon House was fantastic. It was in a nice neighborhood and close to town. We highly recommend it."
