"Our stay in this VRBO was wonderful. Carlos communicated with us every step of the way. The home was exactly as the photos indicated and had everything we needed - from boogie boards to washer/dryer! And his guidebook with activities and restaurants was great. It was a very quiet and safe location, with beautiful views of the golf course. Me, my husband and our teenage sons spent time hiking El Yunque to La Mina Fall, kayaking on the bio luminescent bay, visiting Old San Juan, and using the local private beach and pool, as well as the Wyndham hotel beach restaurants and casino. We ate in some wonderful local restaurants (Don Pepe's, Richie's, Ay Bonito in Luquillo Beach kiosk) and had a fantastic trip. We look forward to renting Carlos' wonderful home again!"Guest: marcy p. "I am originally from Puerto Rico and visit the Island twice a year. I have stayed in numerous places around the island. I must say this is the best overall when you take location of the Villa, accommodations (Gorgeous place), and easy access to many beautiful sites within the island. El Yunke rainforest was so close that we were able to hike it just about every morning before heading to the beach. So many great restaurants withing short driving distance with amazing “comida criolla" food- ie. La Parilla. Luquillo beach, Los Kioskos, Fajardo, La Parquera , easy drive to the ferry that’ll take you to Culebra's Flamenco Beach and I could go on and on and again all these places are within easy access/drive from Rio Mar. The villa was amazing, a lot better than advertised. It is a spacious place with an amazing view. We soaked in the view every morning while having our coffee and breakfast- ah the best. The kitchen was perfect with everything you need to cook a great meal. I could go on and on about the villa which truly is a home away from home. The owner was so friendly and caring, we were received at the villa even late at night. The place was all ready for us to enjoy. Eva's(Owner) main goal was for us to enjoy our stay, she call me during the stay to be sure we were having fun and enjoying the place. We found our next destination!! Thank you Ah Almost forgot - The golf course is amazing. Yes,18 holes of golf by the ocean is a must do."Guest: Javier M. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 27, 2014View listing
"We visited for a week during our children's spring break, and this property was absolutely perfect for our family of four! It's very easy to get to from the San Juan airport (only about 35 mins), and the owners provided great directions ahead of time. It's right on the Wyndham grounds, and you have access to all of the amenities, which is really nice (especially with young children or teens). The property is in pristine condition and is exactly as described. It's airy and bright, and much larger than it appears in the photos. And the beds are SO comfy! :) The entrance El Yunque Rainforest is literally across the street. We spent an entire day there, hiking and swimming in the waterfall. It was so beautiful! We mostly cooked at home, which was nice, but the restaurants on the Wyndham grounds are also very good if you want to get out one evening. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a large washer and dryer available. The use of the owner's golf cart was an added bonus! Suggestions for visitors- Do a bioluminescent bay kayak tour (a MUST for kids and adults alike!), hike the rainforest, eat at the Luquillo kiosks, and hang out at the beach! Everything was very close by , and this was a great home away from home for the week. The beach at the Wyndham is very nice but Luquillo public beach is equally nice. It's less than a ten minute drive and a great beach to chill out for the whole day, without the resort prices and tourists (The water is also quite calm). The owners were easy to work with for booking and accessible when we arrived. They were available for questions, and really made sure we enjoyed our vacation. Thanks so much for a fantastic vacation, Graciela & Raul- we look forward to staying again in the future! Cheers!"Guest: Fleesie H.
