"I am a frequent visitor in San Juan and have stayed at several condos around the Ashford area, and I can honestly say this has been the best so far. I recently stayed here and absolutely enjoyed my time. Bright, clean and with a beautiful ocean view. The building is right in the middle of Ashford. Nearby is Bar Gitano and El Barril (hotspots for dinner and drinks). I felt it was safe and secure; there was convenient access in and out of the building, plus they have 24 hour security. Oscar was friendly and courteous, very easy to get ahold off with any question. On my last day there, my I had missed my flight, and contacted Oscar if I could stay another night. There was an immediate response from him and he was kind enough to drive to the building and personally open the apartment for me when I got back from the airport, after missing my flight. In addition, I forgot an item in the apartment, and he made sure to mail it back to me! I would definitely stay here again without hesitation."Guest: fc75075 Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 7, 2014View listing
"You do not get the true beauty of this penthouse apartment until you see it in person. Property is located above the guesthouse rooms and everyone we met staying there were very friendly. Really enjoyed the huge deck overlooking the ocean and beach and the covered porches as well. Very relaxing, spent most of our time outside. Within hours of arrival we met Esther who made us feel very welcome and made sure everything met our expectations. The first person we met was Robert who helped us upstairs with our luggage and made sure we had everything we needed. Soon after we met Manuel and David who were always available for anything we needed, from calling cabs to planning outings for us. Cabs arrived at our gate withing 5 to 10 minutes of the phone call. All 3 of these gentlemen spoke English and made us feel welcome and never a pest regardless of what silly request we had. On our last night there David recommended we visit a nearly bar/restaurant called Baqua. What a fabulous place only 2 blocks from our apartment. While we stood outside looking at the menu Stephanie came outside and invited us in. We sampled appetizers and drinks for several hours. All employees of Baqua were always there to chat and make sure we had everything we needed. Wish we would've found this place earlier in our trip. The ocean pictured here was calm as glass for the first 4 days and only became rough on our last 2 days. Thank you Esther, Robert, Manuel & David for making this trip the best trip ever!!! Hope to see you all next year."Guest: Sherry S. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 31, 2014View listing
"This was a great studio apartment to feel away from it all in the middle of the action. Eric provided just the right balance of friendliness and information, and giving us space to feel at home in the apartment. When he mailed the keys in advance of the trip, he even included info about the area! He imagined anything a guest could need in advance and it was waiting for us. The neighborhood is chock-a-block full of bars, shops, and restaurants, and the ocean view was amazing to wake up to. Old San Juan is a short drive/cab ride/bus away. Lots of nearby hotels offer concierge services and activities like a catamaran out to Culebra (highly recommend!) will come pick you up if you don't rent a car."Guest: Erin S.
