  • Marbella Caribe Este

"This is my 4th stay and my second at this particular apt. I have never been disappointed and plan on staying AGAIN. The friendliest staff and the view is spectacular. Everything one needs is accessible (walking distance) and even the casinos are down the street. Beaches are clean and beautiful and so is the swimming pool. I have friends that live there in PR and they loved it!!! HIGHLY recommended to anyone who plans on visiting PR."

  • Most charming and romantic rental we have ever encountered!

"We just returned from a 7 night cruise out of San Juan that we supplemented with a two night stay in Old San Juan before setting sail. I found this property highly reviewed and was okay with the ladder and loft bedroom so booked it for my wife and I and having no idea what Old San Juan was like as this was our first visit to Puerto Rico. When we arrived at the airport it only cost around $20 to get to the this location. The Calle del Sol street was easy for the cabdriver to find and the instructions to get into the rental were spot on. We were welcomed with local music playing as we entered the property and a personal greeting on the chalkboard in the kitchen. The place was immaculately clean, modern yet traditional, and exceeded our expectations in every fashion. We walked down to the local market and grabbed a couple bottles of wine and hung out in the living room area with the large windows that open onto the cobblestone streets. They are high enough off the ground that you are looking down onto the street so it is not an awkward feature but a very welcomed one. To speak to the place itself, the air conditioner was cold for the sleeping area, the bathroom was comfortable with a large shower area, it had all the kitchen amenities you would need to stay even a week, but the best part of this rental is hands down the location. We were within short walking distance of every major Old San Juan attraction we found. We highly recommend stopping for breakfast/brunch/coffee at Hacienda Isabel which is literally on the same street around 8 doors down. Like our local rental it was full of charm and culture. At the end of our trip Felipe had stopped by and introduced himself. We told him we will definitely be back for a longer stay and to explore more of beautiful Old San Juan and called us a cab to take us to the pier to catch our Cruise Ship. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about this place, it was the highlight of our entire vacation even the cruise that followed. Old San Juan is one of the most romantic places we have ever visited, the food is amazing, the night life is great, and the charm is unmatched. We will be back for 5-7 days one day in the future and will not hesitate to stay at this central location to all the city has to offer."

  • Fantastic owner, even better location, wonderful condo - our family of 4 LOVED it

"All the detailed reviews helped me choose this condo, so I wanted to pay it forward. My family and I (including 2 kids, 14 and 3) had a sublime spring break vacation in Puerto Rico, and having this condo as our home base was wonderful. As others have said, Ita is an incredibly kind, caring, and responsive owner. Her niece, Linda, is also a delight to communicate with - they answered all my questions before arrival promptly and were happy to accommodate our late-arriving flight. Ita even came out to the corner as we made our way from the airport to guide us into the secure underground parking garage. This was after 11 p.m. on a Thursday night. She could not have been more delightful. It takes about 2 minutes to walk from the condo to Condado beach. This was a boon as we needed to return "home" for bathroom breaks for the 3-yr-old but it didn't mean having to cut our time at the beach short - we just turned around and went right back. The waves are strong, so it's not a swimming beach (lots of experienced body surfers, though) but my kids loved bracing themselves against the waves and building sand castles. The condo itself is light, airy, spacious, beautifully (and functionally) decorated, and it is incredibly well-stocked. We found everything we needed - tons of beach towels, laundry detergent, a soft-sided cooler that was perfect for bringing our frozen water bottles to the beach or the rainforest. The well-appointed kitchen had all the appliances and pots/pans I needed to make a couple of dinners as well as all of our breakfasts. Ita supplied bottled water as well as a Brita water pitcher, and even stocked 2 kinds of milk for the kids before we arrived. We also appreciated the bottle of wine and the chocolates she provided, and we availed ourselves of the roll of quarters to catch the bus to/from Old San Juan. We used our car for excursions farther afield: day trips to Fajardo with its calm beaches and El Yunque. We all slept well - the beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms' air-conditioning works VERY well (we often turned it off and just opened the windows to catch the breeze). The blackout shades do a good job of minimizing the morning light. There are flat screen TVs in 3 rooms but we never turned them on - too much to do, day and night! The location right along Ashford Ave. meant that we could walk to drinks/dinner/ice cream. Very low-stress. We would recommend this property wholeheartedly and hope to return!"
