  • Living Like a Local

"We rented this property in order to stay in a real residential area of San Juan. The photos were all accurate, the owner was incredibly easy to work with, and the apartment was in a wonderful location where we could hop on the local bus and go just about anywhere. Within the neighborhood, there were several good restaurants, a grocery store, and several other useful stores. The roof top level had a view of the ocean. The condo is large and roomy. The only caution is that the property has a lot of steps."

  • Perfet for Family- 4 days to escape the Jan freeze!

"We were thrilled with the accommodations- it was perfect for 2 kids (ages 5, 7) and our niece who was 18! We loved the condo- very clean, tastefully decorated and spacious! All towels were provided as well as soap, dish soap, laundry detergent & coffee filters and TP (however, if you use up what is provided & need more, plan to get a 4 pack at wal-mart. Many of the public restrooms near public beaches do not have TP.) Check-in was a breeze and Adrianna was very helpful! We appreciated the GPS with some of the hot spots and favorites saved! Made getting around easy for us! Loiza is a great little area and please do not fear the "barrio" feeling- it is authentic and the folks are very nice! We did a lot of exploring and walked to Parrilla's for dinner twice! It was nice to share new cultures with our children- and they made friends with some children from Loiza! I encourage you to visit the local haunts in this town and experience the African culture! The security of Aquatika is second to none! They are friendly, do a superior job and always have a presence. I do have to say, the Management of the grounds did a great job- except the upkeep of the hot tubs. It is sad to think that the owners undoubtedly pay a hefty annual fee and for high use (and high demand items such as hot tubs and the water cannons) do not function. The gentleman that roamed the pool areas to make sure everyone was "legit" offered nothing but excuses or behaved as though he had no idea the hot tubs did not function. I do not hold the owner accountable for this. What I would LOVE TO SEE is the owners putting more pressure on the folks that run Aquatika to fund monies toward repairs and preventative maintenance of high use items! All in all- we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Adrianna's rental and would be happy to rent again! It is a great place to be- away from the San Juan congestion, but close enough to make a day trip to do a walking tour of Old San Juan or a quick drive to the El Yunque Rain Forest!"

  • Really great place to stay!

"Great location--you've basically got your own private beach in Isla Verde. The picture shows your view from the balcony. Secure parking is located below the building. Also, it's a very convenient area with stores, restaurants, car rental agencies all within walking distance. The airport is a 5-minute drive away. The property owner, Zahatiel, was very kind and thoughtful. He picked us up & dropped us off at the airport, even though our flights were late! He showed us around the neighborhood, letting us know where the stores & restaurants were. The apartment is equipped with everything you need to have a great time on the beach: towels, chairs, umbrella, 2 coolers, even beach toys. We will stay here again next time we are in San Juan."

  • Great Vacation at Aquatika

"Our family of four had a fabulous vacation to Puerto Rico and Aquatika. Jeff was friendly and easy to communicate with, and JC was fun, thorough, communicative, entertaining, and helpful with suggestions for local eating and activities. JC met us at the airport and we followed him to Jeff's condo and everything we needed was explained to us by JC. The unit was very clean, tidy, and well stocked with what we needed, including kitchen utensils and equipment (including electric grill). The refrigerator was new and all the other appliances were in excellent condition as well. A/C works fine, yet with the strong breeze we only used it a little bit. The pools are great; very clear water and clean. The water slide and water guns/cannons are only open on weekends though. There are a number of workers who arrive each morning to maintain the grounds and the pool, both of which are in fine shape. We played tennis and mini-golf under the lights, and Jeff provides tennis racquets and balls, plus two putters and golf balls. He has beach chairs and inner tubes for the lazy river, plus a lot of beach towels. Beach is quiet and kids loved seeing little crabs and a few iguanas on the sand and trees at the beach. Easy drive from SJU and the unit is convenient for visiting the rain forest and other beaches. JC arrived the morning we left for a walk through and is such a positive and thoughtful person. Was a wonderful stay at Aquatika and the price is reasonable for all you get. Thanks again JC and Jeff!!!"
