"This house on the water was a bargain for the view and location. The owner and his father were very responsive to us and accommodating. We had a problem with the AC freezing up and they came right over to fix it. It was hot outside of the bedrooms, but we knew to expect that from the other reviews. It is very loud on the weekend- earplugs/fan for white noise a must. This house is a great location for all the excursions we went on- whether to San Juan or to the southern coast. We did get to view a concert at the beach from out balcony Monday night which was an added bonus. We never actually went to the "beach"- 5 minute walk- but rather stayed at our area in front on the house. IF you love seaglass like I do- you will be amazed at what you can collect! Every wave brings a few pieces. If we ever go back to Puerto Rico- we will definately stay there!"Guest: Sailor Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 29, 2014View listing
"I spent my yearly vacation in San Juan and wanted to find a place that I could make some meals, have my own space and hopefully have a pool. Well this place was beyond my expectations. The Security Guards were friendly and helpful especially for a single lady that doesn't speak Spanish. The pool was my favorite as not that many people used it and was so refreshing in the morning, afternoon and night as I used it quite a bit. Super close to all types of restaurants, bus line and taxi's are close or a call away to take you anywhere. Nothing quite like sitting on the balcony watching the sun rise and enjoying breakfast while reading a book. I highly recommend this place."Guest: Jody B. "My family had a fantastic 1 week stay (not long enough unfortunately)! We loved the location, close to the beaches, restaurants, bars, and night life. Our 2 children, 21 and 23 especially liked the weekend evening festivities at Tamboo. The perfect morning was walking the beach, combing for sea glass. We never came back empty handed. The villa was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool, especially in the morning for a session of water aerobics! There was always a nice breeze at night. We will definitely be returning!"Guest: East Coast Travelers Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 22, 2014View listing
"We had a great stay. Apartment was clean and it had all we needed. I especially enjoyed having the enclosed terrace in the morning while he had our coffee and planned our day. It is so convenient having a restaurant right in the corner to have breakfast. A few minute Walk to the beach. The ritz Carlton across the street and a few blocks to the San Juan hotel and intercontinental. Also cable tv and wifi"Guest: Phil Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 14, 2014View listing
Yabucoa Travel Tips
Yabucoa Vacation Rentals in The City of Sugar
Yabucoa may be the perfect destination in Puerto Rico for anyone who has a sweet tooth. The town is also known as "La Ciudad del Azúcar," which means "The City of Sugar." The town got its name because it is in an area that has historically been used to farm sugar cane.
One of the best ways to enjoy a trip to The City of Sugar is to lodge in one of the many lovely Yabucoa vacation rentals that are available. Whether you are looking for a house, a condo or a private villa at one of the local Puerto Rico resorts, there are many Yabucoa vacation rentals to choose from.
A Land of Beaches
In addition to the many beaches in Yabucoa, there are also some points of interest for tourists. The Hacienda Santa Lucía Ruins or "La Casa de la Cultura" (House of Culture) may be of interest. But be sure not to miss out on the sand, water, and sun during your Yabucoa travel.
One of the benefits to staying in a Yabucoa vacation rental or a private house or condo is that you can live like a local. Instead of having to pack up all of your beach gear and haul it out of your hotel room for each day at the beach, you can simply rent a house that is right on the water. This is, especially, convenient for people traveling with kids.
Whether you plan to use the kitchen in one of the Yabucoa vacation rentals as a sweets factory or simply as a comfortable space to make meals for your family, you are sure to enjoy the benefit of having your own kitchen. Surprise your family or travel companion with breakfast in bed. Enjoy your own favorite recipes while relaxing in front of an ocean view. And remember that with each meal that you make on your own, you are saving bundles of money by avoiding restaurant prices.
