  • Great stay at Casa Bonita

"We enjoyed our relaxing stat at Casa Bonita. It's description was just what we we were looking for. The covered patio was a joy for one rainy day. We had everything we need to prepare some full meals. The rooms were nice and clean, well maintained and comfortable. It was just a short walk down the beach for a local restaurant/bar, located right on the beach. The manager of the property Allison was very friendly and helpful for any questions we had (restaurants, things to do). She directed us to a coffee plantation, which we had on our list of things we wanted to do. It was sandrafarms.com. We visited with the owner Israel Gonzalez his wife Sandra was not there at the time. He took us in his home and shared stories and coffee. It was a very personal tour of there farm. It was quite a drive to get there, but we felt it was worth the trip. We took long walks on the beaches everyday. The beaches were very clean and not crowded. We found a spot walking south on the beach that sold fresh fish by local fishermen. You need to go between noon and 2 PM to find them. It is the area were there are several fishing boats pulled up on the beach (three to six boats). Our stay and area was not like a resort area, but a quiet neighborhood and enjoyable. Great place for two to three couples or a family.d"

  • We never wanted to leave

"This condo was excellent. If anything, the description falls short of the reality. My partner and I stayed here for seven nights. The condo is clean and perfectly stocked, and the location is as beautiful as you can dream up. First, the location--it's on Isla Verde, which is one of the San Juan beaches. It's close to Old San Juan and Pinones, and has just about everything you could want, from casinos to resorts to food, and even a Walgreens that sells everything, including rum, within walking distance, so you could have a great stay without a car. It is on the beach, and the beach here is less crowded than Condado or Ocean Park, the two beaches closer to San Juan. The sand was clean and the water incredibly clear, with some gentle waves most days. There were jet ski rentals further up the beach, but they are kept separate from the swimming. It was a beautiful location--we even saw a couple of iguanas around the common areas. In the bigger picture, it was just moments from a main highway that could take you to any other part of the island, so it's a good base to explore from. We caught the Vieques ferry, climbed Toro Negro, and watched a sunset in Aquadilla, all using the condo as our base. And there is a 24 hour car rental directly across the street, in case you want to rent a car at two in the morning. The condo itself is immaculate. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen very functional and well stocked on dishes and utensils, including blenders and salad spinners. The shower was immaculate, and was the strongest I've found on the island. The towels provided were of great quality. And the view was stunning. The picture can't quite capture it. We spent a lot of time just standing on the balcony staring out to sea, or down at the beach. There was Internet and television. The condo was even decorated well, and had lots of pamphlets and guides on stuff to do. There is a lot of talk about security on Puerto Rico, but there were no concerns here. The condo had security for the building and the parking garage, and we never felt concerned. The owners were excellent communicators, and made everything easy, too. I'd easily recommend this place."

  • Great place in Luquillo!

"We rented this condo because it was centrally located between all of the places we wanted to go (Fajardo, Yunque Rainforest, San Juan). But, we ended up staying in Luquillo for most of our trip! The beach in front of the condo is really nice, the pool is refreshing, and the food nearby is delicious. The condo itself is great. It came with beach chairs and toys (basketballs and footballs), has an amazing view (with really comfy patio furniture), and has a fully stocked kitchen. I highly recommend it! Thanks Rene!"

  • Magnificent

"I stayed with my whole family and we had a great time right from the moment we arrived. The view is spectacular, you feel like you are on top of the world, you can almost touch the clouds. The house has all the accommodations and amenities you could ask for and more. It is so spacious. We definitely will come again. It was the vacation to remember and will treasure the memories forever."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals.
