  • Felt like our own private bit of paradise

"My family and I had such a wonderful time! The housekeeper lives right across the street, he was wonderful, answered whenever we needed him. My only complaint/suggestion is that the website pictures do not do justice as to how beautiful the condo and the location really is. The restaurant right next door has great food, plays music (with salsa classes) on Friday nite which was a bit noisy, but all quiet rest of the days. Even the storm wasn't a bother, we still had a blast watching mother nature show off and the crazy surfers. The condo is right on the beach, the famous La Pared. Location is very secure. Owner has the condo fully stocked for what one needs in the kitchen and bathroom and even leaves boogie boards and beach stuff to use. Easy access to all major highways, easy to get to any spot. Supermarket 2 blocks away. Casino up the street and the entrance to the rainforest El Yunque is less than a mile away. All the neighbors and locals very friendly and welcoming. You will love this place, we will most definitely return."

  • Beautiful View!

"We just got back from staying at Pena Mar. The condo is super nice, and the view is absolutely beautiful.. The only thing I can say about August, it is very hot. We didn't really use the rooftop terrace because there was no air conditioning. But the bedrooms were always cold with the units on. The condo is very centrally located to all the excursions we did, and the restaurants are all close by. My GPS on my galaxy worked perfect with directions everywhere . The condo has everything you need to cook, although we didn't use anything but the toaster. :) And the beach chairs and cooler were a Plus!!! Make sure you get trash bags, as there was only 1 in the condo. We would stay here again because of security and convenience to everything. The security people were very nice, and we never had a problem getting in and out. The pool is right next door to the condo and was great for an evening swim after a day running around.. We ate at the Blue Iguana in the Fajardo Inn the first night and it was great.. The staff and the food were awesome. We also ate at El Estacion , my son tried the skirt steak Mofongo and loved it.. The Kiosks at Luqillo beach are a must. And I totally recommend East Island Excursions for a Snorkel trip, and Yunke Ziplining they were both awesome.."

  • Perfect getaway for families.

"Fully equiped, cozy and confortable! It's trully your "home away"! The owners make all within their reach to make you feel at home! They even provide some treats and suppplies. The condominium is nice and safe, but a car (and a GPS) is required since there are no restaurants, markets or shopping malls in the near surroudings. A car is required anyway, in my opinion, if you like to explore the island and it's many attractions and to know different beaches, as I do... I would reccommend a bit of caution since PR is a country of social contrasts, (but with a car you'll be fine). Although the location is not the best, in in general it's a great cost-benefit!"

  • comfortable

"This is a huge house, very well equiped with everything you need. Rooms are very nice, all with air conditioning, very good tv with wi-fi. The terrace is the place for long fun nigths, we spend most of the evening and nigths on the terrace playing board games and doing BBQ. But is a little to far from the beach walking, at leat for us because we have kids and some people over 60 years old. I will improve two things: 1. The downsatirs room were nor very cleaned, we found the floor sticky and some dead insects on most of the beds. The other part of the house was clean. 2. The ascess to the downstair floor ( the one with the terrace and two bedrooms) were a little to risky ones. You have to use a spiral stairs or walk outside the house take some stairs that end on a downhill without anything to stop you if you fall. I will make some rails and aone gate. Other than that we have a great time, we went to the beach and some restaurant, we also went to the "plaza" to see some artesains and music."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
