  • Awesome Puerto Rico getaway -- best location!

"This property is clean and exactly as pictured. It is on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view from a balcony equipped with 2 chairs, a cafe table and a hammock. A lovely breeze and ocean sounds create a very relaxing and comfortable living area and balcony. A/C in the bedroom worked well. No problems with hot water. No problems with neighbors. No leaks. I would disregard the previous negative post. WiFi is available now. Best location! This beach was our favorite in PR, and we visited a few other beaches that our tour book highlighted -- nothing compared to Isla Verde! Covered/secure parking is a bonus, as there is so much to see and explore on this beautiful island. Annie and Zahatiel were wonderful hosts. All of the previous reviews are spot-on. They took great care of us. The condo was equipped with everything we might need for adventure and fun. No, it is not fully updated, but we don't need granite countertops to enjoy our vacation. Finally, as budget travelers, my sister and I could not be happier. Dining in PR is a bit expensive. Having a stocked kitchen made it easy to cook breakfast and enjoy coffee each morning. We took advantage of roadside fruit stands, Pinones and Luquillo kioskos, and lichones in Guavate -- and always brought home carry-out to reheat or pack for an excursion. Hiking in El Yunque? Grab the cooler, slice up pineapple, toss in the leftover cerviche and chips, load towels and go! Hit the beach in Farjardo or Luquillo after. And, of course, keep the condo stocked with PR rum for happy hours on the beautiful balcony. Enjoy!"

  • Excellent location and value

"Communication with the owner was TERRIBLE! I never really trusted him and was very worried that things could go wrong. Well. ... the apartment was great! The location has everything you need even if you don't have a car, walking the area is safe and easy. I did rent a car and a parking spot was included. There is even a vacuum by the laundry room in the parking garage so you can get the sand out. The kitchen was equipped with the things you need for cooking. I would stay again and recommend this place to my friends. Just wish the owner had better communication skills... I've rented many vacation apartments and houses and this owner was hands down the worst I have dealt with."

  • Beautiful Beachfront Home Away from Home W/ Art Gallery Appeal

"Room was good. Could not use shower first night as you have to pull some ring under the spout to get shower going. They should have posted how to use the shower. Tv did not have sound till I figured it out, after many hours. Called owner, but he advised me to contact rental people. You would thing an owner would know how to use a tv, but oh well, figured it out. Beach was great, and a short walk, till the key to get to the beach was changed and we had to walk to the rental office to get a new one. The said the owner should have provided a key. would stay in Playa azul again, but would want a bigger condo."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals.
