  • Beautiful Villa at a Perfect Location

"The villa has everything you could ask for. It's home in paradise. The representative was very helpful and escorted us to location and showed us how things worked. The villa is clean and well maintained. The lap pool is so close to the unit which make it so convenient for my daughter who is a competitive swimmer. We visited the beautiful Yunque rainforest which is just a few minutes away. My husband and in-laws played golf while the kids and I hanged out at the hotel pool and the beach. There are restaurants and groceries closed by. We had breakfast at the balcony enjoying the view. We highly recommend this villa. We can't wait to visit again."

  • A Flawless Caribbean Vacation

"Upon arriving after an easy drive from San Juan, my wife, three adult kids and I were met by Rosanna, who was extremely friendly and helpful (including sharing tips for local trips). The villa is in outstanding condition. The living room is so comfortable and the entertainment unit so great with HDTV we had a hard time dragging the kids to activities vs. watching Euro soccer, NFL games, etc. The master suite, separated from the other 2 BDRs, is huge, with a great shower and walk-in closet. All 3 BDRs have great TV's with cable, comfy beds and great linens. The dining area off the kitchen works well. The terrace off the LR was the most used space, where we enjoyed early morning coffee watching the sun rise over the Caribbean. Photos don't do justice, as the views all day, and night are spectacular, and you have an unencumbered front row seat. The kitchen is well-equipped and stocked with all the elements of home. There was nothing missing. And everything in the villa worked flawlessly, efficiently. (We have experienced the opposite elsewhere and its a drag). Here the ice maker, DW, washer/dryer, cable TV, stereo, shower water pressure and hot water, etc were, again, flawless. This is clearly a proud home used by the owners who share it with you rather than offer it to rent. It makes a big difference!! We all loved the pool, finding it the best in all our years of travel. Well maintained, it is cleverly designed on multiple levels with waterfalls, tons of chairs and tables, full bathroom facilities, hammocks, and the largest and best functioning whirlpool. Each afternoon near 5 pm we headed to the beach with wine/beer and snacks to watch the eastern sky fill with color from the sunset behind us, and then the moon and stars rise over the Caribbean. We always stopped on the way back to the villa for a soak in the whirlpool and more sky gazing. Grocery shopping was an easy 10 minutes away in Humacao. The resort host many good restaurants - our favorite was Cafe del la Plaza - excellent fresh seafood both times. We had a great snorkeling trip to Vieques on Matt's Cat, anchored at the marina. The snorkeling was excellent and the crew very helpful and sweet, and they had top-notch gear included in the cost. We didn't venture anymore; the villa, pool, beach & weather so wonderful, it was hard to justify leaving. We will return for more activities - especially El Yunque rainforest. This is an unconditionally great home to rent in an ideal Caribbean location."

  • Bosque Del Mar in December

"Righ on the Beach - complex is close to the water, and this unit in particular is very close to the beach. The huge roof patio and grill was also very nice. Condo includes a lot of beach chairs, coolers, games, towels, etc. Roberto was extremely responsive over email. He got back to me with any questions immediately. Rio Mar resort is a short drive (5 minutes) or a long walk (20 minutes). You do need a car if you want to leave the complex for food, rain forest, restaurant. AC is permanently out in the living room - got a little warm in that room, but not miserable. Price was very competitive relative to other options nearby, and the price was a great value. I was very pleasantly surprised and feel this condo exceeded all our expectations."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck.
