  • Can't beat the view!

"We loved our vacation in this villa. The view from back and side windows (it is a corner unit overlooking the water) is unbelievable and the property is very convenient to the beach and beach bar. The Beach Village section and Palmas Del Mar resort itself, is great with plenty of amenities. We sat on the beach in the sun, swam in the waves (we walked further down the beach to swim; the beach adjacent to Beach Village had red flags our entire stay, but the area 400 yards away was clear to swim- beautiful water), played tennis and worked out in the gym (extra fee involved for both), and rented a golf cart to ride around the entire resort. The resort's location is convenient to off site excursions, we spent a day hiking the rain forest, drove to Fajardo for the Miniboat snorkeling tours through Kayaking Puerto Rico (two thumbs way way up for this tour, can't remember when our family laughed so hard; this tour was a vacation highlight by far!!!), and drove to a tour to kayak the bioluminescent bay (used Yokahu Kayak Trips, fun guides). For the condo itself: The villa is a very spacious, with two bedrooms plus a loft area, plenty of room for our family of four (two teenagers). The kitchen is pretty well equipped, with decent quality pans, blender, . . . all of the basic necessities. We cooked all of our meals here (shout out to Puerto Rico's version of Whole Foods, "FreshMart" REALLY difficult to find, but worth it to stock up on your way to the resort). The view (did I mention the view?) is better in person than in the pictures. Postcard worthy. When we arrived, the AC did not work, resulting in water leaks in the bathrooms, but the management company was extremely quick in fixing everything and a pleasure to deal with (thanks Rebecca for all of your help!). Very nice people. The unit is older, but the owner is obviously freshening it up (villa runs true to the pictures). We were here during Spring Break, Easter week, yet it didn't feel crowded at all (only hint that it was a popular holiday was the number of golf carts zipping around). Many thanks to the management company and the owner, we had a wonderful vacation!"

  • Gorgeous villa with so much space and comfort

"We stayed at the villa for spring break and couldn't have enjoyed the space more. This house has everything you need and if you need anything else, you are practically within walking distance of it. There were 6 of us but we could have easily fit at least 4 more in the space with plenty of room. Everything you need to make this your home away from home is there and available for use. The owner, Madeline, was very accessible before and during the stay and made sure we had everything we needed to hit the ground running for our vacation. There are plenty of recommendations of restaurants (local and non-local) and activities for all age groups. We took the advice of previous visitors and went to three local restaurants and were not disappointed. Well worth checking the recommendations out!! Loved the villa and the neighborhood!"

  • Gorgeos Relaxing Home in the Mountains

"We absolutely loved this Guavate home. Linda was incredibly helpful from the very beginning in booking our stay and stayed in communication with us as needed. When we arrived, the property manager Magdalena and her husband (whose name I can't remember) were so kind and warm to us, and very accommodating and communicative about our check in and check out time. They gave us specific directions that were helpful on the mountain roads, and worked with our schedule entirely for picking up and dropping off keys. When we arrived the house was not only clean and spacious, but had all the comforts of home for a beautiful vacation (full kitchen with cooking utensils, music set up, etc.) The views from the back and front porch are stunning, and the location was great to be close to the mountains and make day trips throughout the island. Would highly recommend and will be coming back. Thank you!"

  • Fantastic Experience

"We had such a fantastic experience at the villa that we would love to come back!! We traveled as three families with small children vacationing Feb 10 - Feb 17 2015. We loved the house, the bedrooms, the pool - everything was clean and super comfortable. The house is gorgeous is a real jewel! Just being in the house was a rare experience not to mention the gorgeous jangles around it. The beach was 10 min away, San Juan was 30 min. away. We did day trips and really enjoyed our vacation. The owners, property manager, the cleaning crew were super friendly! LOVED it! Highly recommend to everyone!"
