"My wife and I could not have found a better rental location for a week-long birthday getaway in late August 2014. The apartment is clean, well maintained and nicely furnished with spectacular views and a fine beach just outside the doorway. Location is convenient to the airport, and good restaurants are anywhere from a few steps (La Playita) to a few blocks away. For those without a rental car, Old San Juan can be reached by an approximately 60-minute bus ride costing only 75 cents, or by a much shorter cab ride costing roughly $20. We found Hebe Colon and her husband to be extremely helpful and pleasant in facilitating our rental arrangements. Highly recommended."Guest: Frequent Traveler Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 31, 2014View listing
"We have enjoyed vacationing in Rincon several times. This home was extremely comfortable and well represented in the photos. The pool area was spacious and perfect for a barbeque with local family members. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare just about anything you would want. We found a great fresh fish connection at the empanadilla stand located on Steps beach...beautiful, fresh red snapper for a very reasonable price. Bedding was comfortable and abundant. The air conditioning was much appreciated.. although my husband was born and raised in PR... he can't take the heat anymore lol! Parking was readily available on the gated property. This was much appreciated and a rare commodity on the tight and narrow streets of Rincon. The only issue we encountered was sporadic connectivity with the internet. Luis (the property manager) was always available and attended to this problem but it seemed to be an overall connection issue in the area. This is a problem we have encountered all over Rincon. Would recommend this charming, comfortable home for a relaxing visit, we only regret we could only stay for 6 wonderful days... thanks Jay for allowing us the pleasure of staying in your lovely home! We would also recommend using the airport in Aquadilla... only 30 minutes away and much less congested than San Juan. The beaches in Rincon are lovely for grabbing some rays but can be rocky. Would suggest Crash Boat beach in Aquadilla for swimming. Steps Beach has fantastic snorkeling but can be treacherous if the water is choppy as there are also a lot of rocks....still in love with Rincon!!!!!"Guest: cheryl and neddy menay Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 28, 2014View listing
"We had a great stay. Apartment was clean and it had all we needed. I especially enjoyed having the enclosed terrace in the morning while he had our coffee and planned our day. It is so convenient having a restaurant right in the corner to have breakfast. A few minute Walk to the beach. The ritz Carlton across the street and a few blocks to the San Juan hotel and intercontinental. Also cable tv and wifi"Guest: Phil Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 14, 2014View listing
"I'm a puertorrican living in Maryland who was looking for a place to spend quality time with my sisters, husbands, nieces and nephews, during my vacations in the Island. Our family of 12 had a great stay at Vista Azul. The house has lots of space for a big family, you won't feel cramped in this house. It was very clean and very comfortable, it has a tremendous terrace in the back that faces the beach. Wow, what a view! The house is fully equipped, kitchen has everything for cooking. The owners are a delight to work with, they met us at at the house and explain all the amenities. The house is right on the beach which gave 8 teenagers plenty of things to do . They spent endless hours playing in the water, sand and walking on the beach. The sound of the waves was my favorite part. We will return for sure. We had a wonderful time, thank you!"Guest: Judy Urbina Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 26, 2014View listing

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals
Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.
Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas
The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.
Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals
The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.
