  • Best Family Vacation Ever!

"Planning a family vacation is never easy and with so many people involved I was quiet anxious but this home gave us ample space so that we could all be together without being on top of one another. When we arrived at the home we were quiet pleased but shortly there after the power went out due to a lightning storm that was occurring on the island. The owner quickly gave us his apologies and even offered us a reimbursement of our funds and a nights stay at the hotel of our choice. We decided to rough it out and prayed that the power would be restored. In the am the owners family bought us breakfast items with their apologies and yet another offer to return our monies. Gladly the power was restored later that day and every night after there was power. The family was wonderful with checking in on us and making sure we had all we needed. They even went as far as helping us find a local baker for my nephews 1 year old birthday party. The pool was amazing. We would have liked to have used the hot tub but it was out of order. Overall we had a pleasant stay with our family and got to share this beautiful home with our guest as well. Thank you for all of your attention and concern for us. We loved this home and the closeness to everything (grocery store/bakery/food) was good too!"

  • We enjoyed our short visit. Highly recommend!

"This place is a hidden gem. It is very convenient, especially if you need to be close to Moca, San Sebastian or the northwest part of the island. The home is small yet comfortable. It has all of the basic necessities available so you can get away from the busy nearby towns. The large deck is very nice and overlooks the trees and mountains. It is private and quiet. You can lay on the hammock to read a good book or enjoy a nice nap, while enjoying the pleasant breeze. The sounds of the small water garden will be music to your ears. The hostess is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Soon, she will have added a larger pond nearby that will beautify the area. We will definitely return to this hideaway because it was very convenient for our needs. Special thanks to Mrs. Milagros for a wonderful stay."

  • High expectations were exceeded!!!

"After looking at hundreds of properties on vrbo I kept coming back to Diane's property in Dorado. The reviews for the home and Diane's helpfulness were spot on! I don't think our vacation home could have been any better. Diane's home has everything you could possibly need while on vacation. The bbq in the back allowed for many meals at the house and the supermarket is just down the road. During our trip three different families were brought together and never once did we feel crowded. The beach is only a few steps away and with Diane's kayaks and golf cart we were entertained all week! Dorado is only a short drive from San Juan and other Puerto Rican attractions. I can't say enough wonderful things about this home... give it a chance and you will not be disappointed."

  • Perfect home for family gathering

"We thought 16 of us under one roof would be slightly uncomfortable. Ha, it was a wonderful space to bond, create memories, party, and have private time. Coffee on the terrace was peaceful and meditative. Hammocks on each level allowed everyone enough chilling time. The family room, kitchen, island was the perfect hangout. The men grilled some steaks and we enjoyed a fun dinner on balcony listening to the beautiful songs of the coqui. The location of the bathrooms was the only thing that I wish would have been different. You had to walk through bedrooms to gain access, which might be uncomfortable for non-family members. We had ample parking for a car, van, and SUV on the property. The pool was the perfect place to start the morning, end the afternoon, or dip into on a hot summer night. The outdoor shower was very useful when returning from the beach as well as an extra bathing area to speed up the process for 16 getting ready. This home was easy to reserve, Gina answered all my crazy questions and Joe was there to greet us and send us off. The house and property was immaculate. I have not stopped talking about this home since I returned from vacation. The beach was a walking distance, short and enjoyable."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
