  • Great Accomodations & Service

"I went for a long weekend (Thurs-Monday) with my children (10 & 13) and wanted a room with an ocean view, to be away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far from excursions, beaches and shopping and to feel safe. Tony's condo at the Peñamar Ocean Club did not disappoint. The photos on the site are a great representation of what you will get, security was top notch, the condo was clean, neat and had all the amenties you would need. We were steps away from the pool with the slide and as it was off season, most days, the pool felt like it was our own private pool! The catamaran snorkel excursion was 3-5 minutes away by car -- in fact, you probalby can just walk if you are up for a 10 - 12 minute walk and there were really nice seafood restaurants minutes away by car in Las Criobas. Tony was amazing to work with. Responsive, courteous, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely return."

  • Family of 5

"Condo was very nice and had plenty of space. It was located within easy walking distance to Palmanova Village, tennis courts, and the playground. Robert was very helpful and the golf cart he provided was excellent. You can walk to the beach in about 10 minutes but it was more convenient to take the golf cart. We love Palmas for our family vacation. It is centrally located to many exciting things to do in PR."

  • Second trip to paradise!

"It was so wonderful to arrive in our home, away from home, for a 10 day stay! The whole condo was painted a bright and cheery yellow. We traveled with my 85 yr old parents, 23 yr old son and 11 yr old daughter. The pool was just in the range my Mom can still walk to, we got her there every day. The weather was awesome 84 to 88. We went to several beaches in our area and Playa Montones was our favorite. My husband and kids went cliff diving with some local teenage boys and got the grand tour. The water was only 6 inches deep until you reached a blue hole, snorkeling was great in it. There is even a cave under water. Crash boat beach was also nice, the kids went jet skiing. I can recommend Ola Lola's for dinner and drinks, fabulous Mojitos! Also a lot of craft beers. We also ate at some great local road side stands. Chris's Restaurant on rt. 2 was one of my favorites for italian food. My son had on a tank top and they gave him a t shirt to wear, for proper dining dress code, lol. Pricey but good. Our favorite place to hang out was on the porch, watching and hearing the crash of the waves. Ahhh..."

  • Great place for families or groups!

"Loved our vacation & stay at this Palma Vista condo. Overall, we were very happy. The condo is very spacious & is just as shown in the photos. The number of towels and bedding provided were perfect for our group of 4 adults & 3 kids. The kids swam in the private pool every day & we enjoyed drinks on the patio, staring at the moon and dipping our feet in the pool after the kids had gone to bed. The gated condo community itself is very nice. The community pool is perfect for relaxing & letting the kids jump and splash and swim. We also took advantage of the playground & the kids loved it. The location of the condo is just across from Seven Seas beach and another small beach right behind the Cabezas of San Juan Nature Reserve. Do take advantage of the night tour at the reserve if you can! It's fantastic & a great opportunity to see the light house, bio bay, & dry forest. Both beaches are pretty rocky where you enter, so you have to walk down a few hundred yards to get to the point where you can swim. That said, the water is gorgeous and clear. We saw crabs, and egrets, and pelicans, which the kids loved. One drawback: there is quite a bit of trash/glass on the beach, which was depressing given how beautiful the beaches are. Careful where you step! Just up the road about 10-15 minutes away is a shopping center with Walmart, Walgreens, & an Econo grocery store. There are few other stores, as well, but I didn't visit them. There are definitely some great little places to eat within walking distance & we also found some delicious restaurants just a few minutes up the road in either direction. We HIGHLY recommend Taska Olelelolai (www.olelelolai.com) in Fajardo for dinner. Best meal of the week! Check out trip advisor for reviews of other restaurants nearby; they're pretty much dead on to what we experienced. Tere, the property manager, was fantastic & very responsive. She checked in on us when we landed & was very respectful our time & needs when scheduling a repair to the washing machine. The only criticism I have is the lack of items like toilet paper, paper towels, & garbage bags. Only one roll of TP in each bathroom, half a roll of paper towels in the kitchen, & a single garbage bag. With 7 people in our group, it was just not enough. We'd recommend each bathroom have at least 2 spare rolls of TP, the kitchen 1 extra roll of paper towels, & at least 4 extra garbage bags. That said, we would definitely stay here again!"

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
