  • Incredible View, Fantastic Location, Friendly People

"My husband and I recently returned from spending a wonderful 4 weeks at Marbella on Isla Verde. The Marbella complex is made up of 2 different buildings, the East and the West. We stayed in the West and absolutely loved it there. Our unit had everything we want in a vacation rental including a large, comfortable bed with plenty of linens, kitchen appliances in good working order, plenty of cookware, comfortable living room and balcony furniture, and internet. Some unexpected items included a 2nd TV in the bedroom, beach umbrella and chairs, ironing board and iron. Since we didn't want to rent a car, the location, for us, was perfect. Our unit was oceanfront, on an upper floor and had the most incredible view we've ever had with the ocean and entire beach laid out before us. Upper floor meant no problem with bugs, no need to draw the drapes, and very little noise. Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was something we really missed when we got back home! We did not rent a car and were pleased that we could walk to most everything within 20 minutes (usually much less) including Pueblo, a really nice grocery store, Walgreens (right across the street) souvenir shops on the street and on the beach, 3 casinos and a multitude of restaurants including Chilis, Outback, KFC, Puerto Rican, Burger King, Japanese,Chinese, Italian. Although the Marbella is situated on a fairly busy street, we never heard road noise as our condo faced the ocean. And, although we were very near the airport, we were never bothered with noise from planes either. We felt very safe during our entire stay and walked the street every evening going to and from restaurants and casinos. Police presence including Tourist Police was always evident but never intrusive. The streets are very well lit with 2 lights on every pole, one directed on the sidewalk and the other on the street. Even if you aren't a gambler, the casinos offer live music several times a week and it's fun to go to listen, dance or just watch all the Salsa dancers. We'd like to thank Stuart for arranging our stay in this wonderful condo and extend special thanks to Lorraine and Jose and the rest of the San Juan Vacations Staff. They were unfailingly friendly, helpful and eager to aid us in every way. We were frequently asked to let them know immediately if we needed anything or needed something corrected. We had no problems but really appreciated their concern. Hope to see you all next year!!"

  • Great Family Vacation!!!

"This was our first time in Puerto Rico and hopefully it won't be our last. We had a wonderful time! In our group were 2 teenagers 17 and 19 along with a 10 year old and two adults. Our favorite thing to do was go to steps beach and snorkel. Although we also had a great time zip lining at Bateys and swimming at Sandy Beach. I would recommend renting a car to get around. There is lots to do and see within walking distance, but even more a short drive away. We enjoyed evenings having dinner on the roof top deck playing cards and relaxing, afternoons at the pool along with few visits to Tamboo. The condo was perfect. It had everything we could need. Speaking of which, one night we ran out of propane while cooking dinner on the grill; after calling our contact, within minutes, we had another tank! We had only positive experiences to share. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Ryan's condo to a friend. I am hopeful that we will be going back soon and would not think twice about staying there again."

  • Perfect Location in San Juan

"My wife and I recently spent 11 nights in Noelle's condo. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Condado area close to the beach. The apartment is just as advertised. It is a cozy studio condo with a Murphy bed that is very comfortable. We left the Murphy bed open and didn't close it the entire stay. This is a studio unit and is really adequate for 2 adults. This unit is small and not conducive to accommodating more than 2 people. There is a great view of the beach area which is very close and within 5 minutes walking distance. We were able to watch the New Years fireworks from the balcony of the building. The kitchen has all of the necessary items to prepare meals in if you so desire. We prepared our breakfasts in the kitchen but otherwise ate our. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. The biggest plus for us was having the including secure parking space, as the Condado area is quite congested at times with traffic and minimal parking available. If you are going to travel outside of the Condado area a car is an absolute necessity, as public transportation is limited around the island. We did travel throughout Puerto Rico as my wife has family in several different areas of the Island. Using our Garmen GPS unit properly navigated us to everywhere we needed to go, including some remote areas of the central mountain regions. If you are staying within the Condado and Old San Juan areas then a car is not necessary. Noelle was great the reservation process and checking into and out of the apartment was exceptionally easy. We did not use the pool area so I cannot comment on that. The entertainment area includes a flat screen tv with cable and a DVD player with an abundant supply of DVD's to watch. The WiFi access was easy and worked at all times. There was no difficulty at all with the WiFi. The building itself is secure with 24 hour security on site, and requires a key fob for access. The elevators functioned at all times and there was never an excessive wait for the elevator. All in all we had a great stay, and would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Puerto Rico. I can recommend this rental unit for anyone visiting Puerto Rico. Thank you Noelle for a great vacation rental."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.
