  • PERFECT LOCATION - PERFECT CONDO - PERFECT VACATION

"We just returned from one of the best vacations our family has ever had. We traveled with family and friends (a total of 21 of us). We are originally from PR and have traveled to every part of the island, everyone in our group loved Palmas Del Mar Resort Area. Our family of 6 was fortunate enough to have stayed at Matthew's condo. The unit is just as pictured. It has beautiful views from every level. The condo is clean and well equipped with everything you need including some extras (travel size soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc). The kids enjoyed the pool and driving around in a rented Golf Cart. The Location is perfect, you can easily travel to any East Side of the Island destination or just choose to stay in and relax. We were also happy to restock the Wine/Beer Refrigerator which came in handy during our first night there as we waited for Storm Bertha to pass - AWESOME "extra". We are also property owners, we know first hand how important it is to keep a well managed property and answer all questions and concerns. The owner (Matthew) and the property Manager (Joaquin) are Truly FIRST CLASS. We highly recommend this property and hope to return in the near future. THANK YOU."

  • Nice home on the beach in Punta Santiago, Humacao

"If you are looking for a 5-star resort with pampering and room service, this is not for you. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation with home on the beach and a taste of the local island culture than look no further. Located on the end of a quiet road this home is well equipped with everything you will need. If not, than a supermarket and gas station are within a 5 minute walk and a Walmart a 5 minute drive along with many food and shopping options. The neighbors are very friendly. Eva, across the street, has lived there for 50+ years and says everyone in the neighborhood are her family and crime is not an issue. We had a small group of 6 and had a small wedding on the beach in front of the home. Room in home many more and is well equipped with kids toys for the beach. We strongly recommend doing a trip to Calebra. We went with East Island Excursions and went to Flamenco Beach (rated top 5 beach in world by Travel Channel). El Yunque is also close by. Can't wait to come again!"

  • Amazing! You will not regret it.

"This condo in Palmanova village exceeded all of our expectations. I was born and raised in Humacao, PR but have lived in the states for about 15 years now. Growing up we always went to Palmas Del Mar for family getaways. I have never stayed in such a nice villa before, this place was gorgeous. It was modern as opposed to all the dated 80's feel from all the other villas i've stayed in palmas, there was a high chair for our 9month old that was super handy, they kitchen was amazing, the three balconies with the view was incredible and to top it all off the gold cart was so much fun and handy. The private pool was the nicest i've been in all of Palmas. The owner was super helpful and quick to respond. you will not regret renting this place, im telling you, you wont. This will for sure be our getaway spot in Palmas from now on."

  • Wonderful Villa, Great Management, Beautiful Location!

"Upon arrival we were met by Luis, who told us we would be in the penthouse (top floor, 3 bedroom unit with one bed/bath locked out). Luis gave us the tour and told us where to park (gated and covered). There were 2 boogie boards waiting in the unit for our 2 autistic boys. Muchas Gracias Xavier! The view of the beach and pool out the front was awesome and the side deck on this unit had a great view of El Yunque. Both Luis and Xavier answered any questions almost immediately by texts and were always helpful. Rio Mar is a great location, as the rainforest entrance is literally across the street (a rental car is a must). There are grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants, Walmart, etc. all within a short drive. Many good restaurants off site, but only a short drive. Some favorite restaurants were Boardriders in Loquillo, Richie's (great view, vicious bugs, good food, resort priced), Iguana pub at the golf course and the pub on the beach at the Wyndham. Having your own kitchen was an added convenience for a family with 4 kids. A day trip to San Juan is an easy drive on good roads. Old San Juan and El Morro are must sees. We rented wave runners right at the Wyndham beach (they have surf boards and other toys for rent as well). The surf was good for boogie boarding, but not too big to worry about our 7 and 10 year olds getting swept out to sea! The beach was pretty clean and quite deserted in the villa end. Even on July 4th weekend, the villas and resort were not overly crowded. Our children had the infinity pool to themselves much of the first three days. Overall, a great value and a nice location. I would recommend this property to a friend. The listing photos are accurate of the villa and the villa was clean. It did show some age and weather wear, as do most resorts of this age in the Caribbean. Just some rusted metal, etc. The pools were well kept and clean and we never felt unsafe, as there are security guards and a gate to get in the Wyndham property. Thanks Xavier for a great vacation villa!"

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy.
