  • RELAXING PARADISE VACATION

"One word to describe this place………AMAZING!!! We just arrived home from the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort Villas in Puerto Rico, and it was a week of fabulous memories. From the spacious and functional villa (full kitchen, washer dryer, and 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths) to the 85 degree daily weather with a continuous breeze, the sandy beach, warm ocean water and choice of refreshing pools, we loved it all. While in Puerto Rico, we visited the other two hotels we considered booking, and we are so glad we chose here. Our kids, ages 9, 10 and 11 had so much fun. They loved riding the waves in the warm ocean water. The pools were clean and refreshing. The hotel had island hair braiding, Iguana feeding, games for the kids, and plenty for the adults with power walking, water aerobics, and a variety of restaurants. When we wanted to get away from the hotel, we went back and enjoyed the serene environment by the Villas own private pools and quite beach. I actually finished a book I started 6 months ago. We can’t wait to go back again! Thank you for such an AMAZING experience in Puerto Rico!"

  • Great stay at Casa Bonita

"We enjoyed our relaxing stat at Casa Bonita. It's description was just what we we were looking for. The covered patio was a joy for one rainy day. We had everything we need to prepare some full meals. The rooms were nice and clean, well maintained and comfortable. It was just a short walk down the beach for a local restaurant/bar, located right on the beach. The manager of the property Allison was very friendly and helpful for any questions we had (restaurants, things to do). She directed us to a coffee plantation, which we had on our list of things we wanted to do. It was sandrafarms.com. We visited with the owner Israel Gonzalez his wife Sandra was not there at the time. He took us in his home and shared stories and coffee. It was a very personal tour of there farm. It was quite a drive to get there, but we felt it was worth the trip. We took long walks on the beaches everyday. The beaches were very clean and not crowded. We found a spot walking south on the beach that sold fresh fish by local fishermen. You need to go between noon and 2 PM to find them. It is the area were there are several fishing boats pulled up on the beach (three to six boats). Our stay and area was not like a resort area, but a quiet neighborhood and enjoyable. Great place for two to three couples or a family.d"

  • outstanding!

"We booked the house for a week. Yvonne was very helphul and answered all questions. Lying in the hammock at the porch while reading a book, enjoying the beautiful view; breath taking! The quality of the interior is way above average: the beds were very comfy as well as the kitchen was very useful. There is even a huge barbecue grill to have an extended barby! We enjoyed our stay in Puerto Rico: the people were very nice and helpful, we found some hidden beaches and enjoyed our vacation at its fullest. Deeply thank you for let us rent this outstanding house! We def comming back asap!"

  • 5 Star Plus!

"This condo is absolutely fantastic; the pictures you see in the listing are totally accurate. My husband and I stayed 3 nights and I can't say enough good things about it. It was a very last minute booking and because I didn't have a verified pay pal account, it took some extra work on David's part to accommodate us. Fortunately for us, he's a very nice guy and he went above and beyond to make it happen for us. (I've since gotten a verified pay pal account and I would highly recommend it as a way to book VRBO rentals). The condo is very quiet, yet close to some great beaches, as well as several good restaurants and grocery stores. It is beautifully furnished and well equipped; complete with coffee and condiments in the kitchen, and chairs and big towels for the pool and beach. In fact the only things you really need to bring are your clothes and what you're cooking for dinner. Everything else is already there! It doesn't have wifi, but there is a strong cell signal and a big flat screen TV with a huge selection of both classic and recent DVD releases. To sit and have a glass of wine and watch the sun go down in the evening was heaven. The sunsets are spectacular. And because the bi-fold french doors open so wide, the balcony becomes an extension of the living room. I have no hesitation in recommending this listing. It was our favourite stay in all of Puerto Rico. We were sorry to leave and hope to be able to return again soon."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
