"Very clean and nice place! Great location nearby Old San Juan and commercial district! Stanley, the owner, is a generous person and he is also very welcome when we got questions fro P.R.! Definitely consider this place when you plan your trip to P.R.!"

  • Wonderful Casa Grande Villa

"My family had a fantastic 1 week stay (not long enough unfortunately)! We loved the location, close to the beaches, restaurants, bars, and night life. Our 2 children, 21 and 23 especially liked the weekend evening festivities at Tamboo. The perfect morning was walking the beach, combing for sea glass. We never came back empty handed. The villa was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool, especially in the morning for a session of water aerobics! There was always a nice breeze at night. We will definitely be returning!"

  • Another Awesome Stay - Love this location - Best Studio Rental!

"I absolutely love staying at Mar Azul. Raquel and Bobby have a beautiful property and they keep it spotlessly clean. The landscaping is beautiful and everything about their setting makes for a great vacation. I just had my second stay in their upper studio apt. and I just love staying there. The breezes that blow through are heavenly. I cannot say enough good things about it! It has everything you need - a kitchenette with a toaster oven (came in handy for re heating the best pizza in Rincon - Mis Familias Pizza at the Lazy Parrot), a microwave, mini fridge, coffee pot, and they even supplied coffee and tea. Inside the apt. there is a table and chairs and a leather sofa. The bathroom has a nice walk in shower with a window for ventilation and natural light. The shower has great water pressure and hot water. The bed is comfortable and EVERYTHING is perfectly clean. They provided beach towels too. One of my favorite things about this apt. is the outdoor living space. They have the nicest covered outdoor patio with a wicker table and chairs, seating area, and ceiling fan. There are pretty potted plants and it is the ultimate space to relax and enjoy the tropical setting. Every day you will enjoy being serenaded by the sounds of the coqui (frog that makes a special sound) and other noises starting just before sunset and throughout the night. So peaceful and relaxing! Raquel and Bobby have a beautiful yard surrounding their home and apts. and everything is green and tropical. I enjoy the views looking out the windows and I know THERE IS NOT A BETTER PLACE TO STAY than at Mar Azul. It is my favorite and I highly recommend it. Make sure you rent a car so you can explore the area. Eat delicious thin crust pizza down the street at Mis Familias Pizza and also try the grilled Mahi Mahi at Shipwreck Bar and Grill."

  • Fun in the sun!

"We have enjoyed vacationing in Rincon several times. This home was extremely comfortable and well represented in the photos. The pool area was spacious and perfect for a barbeque with local family members. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare just about anything you would want. We found a great fresh fish connection at the empanadilla stand located on Steps beach...beautiful, fresh red snapper for a very reasonable price. Bedding was comfortable and abundant. The air conditioning was much appreciated.. although my husband was born and raised in PR... he can't take the heat anymore lol! Parking was readily available on the gated property. This was much appreciated and a rare commodity on the tight and narrow streets of Rincon. The only issue we encountered was sporadic connectivity with the internet. Luis (the property manager) was always available and attended to this problem but it seemed to be an overall connection issue in the area. This is a problem we have encountered all over Rincon. Would recommend this charming, comfortable home for a relaxing visit, we only regret we could only stay for 6 wonderful days... thanks Jay for allowing us the pleasure of staying in your lovely home! We would also recommend using the airport in Aquadilla... only 30 minutes away and much less congested than San Juan. The beaches in Rincon are lovely for grabbing some rays but can be rocky. Would suggest Crash Boat beach in Aquadilla for swimming. Steps Beach has fantastic snorkeling but can be treacherous if the water is choppy as there are also a lot of rocks....still in love with Rincon!!!!!"

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
