"I had a wonderful time, was there for my daughters vow renewal. The place had enough room for my family. The owners had the property well maintained. Clean and lots of towels. They was very helpful with the keys information when I had problems opening the doors. I would recommend the stay to my family and friends. I would tell them to eat at all restaurants surrounding the hotel and do all the activities. I would come back myself."

"Five star for the price. Just returned home from a week @ Antonio's wonderful beach side Villa. All was as described and Antonio is a nice host. He checked us in and then left us alone. Not the Ritz Carlton to be sure but a very comfortable, safe villa which was in nice clean condition and the grounds and pool are on great shape. The common area appears to have been recently renovated. Our daughter is attending school in Bayamon and we had to commute there twice a day. This was approx. 40 min each way (19 mi.). The villa was far better than the Hotel where we would have stayed in Bayamon. Beautiful setting on the N. shore. Roughly 35-40 mins. to Airport and downtown (light traffic). For first timers in P.R. the traffic is bad--similar to a big US city-sometimes worse. The custom seems to be: drive aggressively and someone will give way. Driving is a treat as most traffic laws are taken only as suggestions. It is a little annoying until you realize that it works very well, the traffic almost flows better as a result, and no one seems to get road rage. Limited access highway driving is much the same as our Interstates. Also note the barb wire fence along the shore line...everything in P.R. is fenced or gated (at least near San Juan). This community is double security gated. We always felt completely safe. Thanks again Antonio"

  • OUTSTANDING STAY--HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

"This was our daughter's senior trip and we stayed at Aquatika. We all loved Puerto Rico! Starting with J.C. (Juan Carlos), who was a great help and source of local information. He met us at the airport and we followed him in our rental car to the grocery store and then to Loiza. He showed us around and gave us many suggestions about where to eat and what to do. We also got many helpful ideas from the packet that the owner Jeff gave us plus the notebook that previous guests had filled out more helpful information. Aquatika is beautiful and quiet--at least quiet during the week days. Seems to be a bit more hopping on the weekends as many of the local PR folks come here to Aquatika on the weekends. But with all the pools and the beach front it was never too crowded. We ventured out to the rain forest--which we all loved--catamaran/snorkeling in Fajardo--which was totally awesome, and many other daily excursions. We also spent a few days just hanging out in the condo. It was really nice having separate bedrooms for the kids so we didn't have to be together all the time like you do at a hotel/resort room. We enjoyed the second floor tv room, and going outside on the balcony and either catching some sun, or napping in the hammock:) Overall it was a wonderful trip and we would highly recommend renting this condo in Aquatika. The owner Jeff and JC his local guide are great and made the whole trip a pleasure!! Thanks again J.C., Jeff, and to all the great locals that we met on the most awesome vacation yet."

  • Great Vacation

"This was a great spot for me and my friends! We had 5 people staying in the condo and it couldn't have worked out better for us. The bed was comfortable, the beach was a block away and there was a pool downstairs. Also, the people were very friendly and helpful. We all felt very safe and there was a security guard on site the whole time, so our rental car was secure. Everything you could want was provided in the condo which really helped us pack light. It was also a convenient location for us to get pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. I would recommend this rental to anyone! Thanks for everything Ana!"

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
