  • Nice Stay

"Rented this property for a week very convenient for exploring the east side of Puerto Rico. Close to the Rainforest, Fajardo and the ferry to Culebra or Vieques, as well as several small towns with beaches. The house itself was nicely furnished. Great swimming pool and back yard. No views, and no A/C on those warm afternoons but the fans kept the air moving. Mosquitos after dark--came home with a few bites! Only complaint, and why I didn't give a five star rating, is that the wifi/internet never worked. I notified the owner, who was on the island, and he said he would come look at it. Never heard from him again during our week's stay, and never had internet. Frustrating when, in our electronic world, you can't MapQuest out the next day's journey or check email, etc..."

  • Casa Soleada Bright, Airy, and Great Views

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Casa Soleada and the wonderful low 80 degree temperatures of Puerto Rico (PR) in late February. The house was clean, tidy and very charming. I liked the layout, the bright colors and airiness of the house. Although it was a challenging climb up a narrow and winding road to get to the house, once there the house offered privacy with gorgeous views of the ocean and the various towns below. Humacao is located close to many sites along the eastern coast of PR. We enjoyed visiting the El Yunque Rain Forest, Luquillo Beach, and the island of Viegues to name a few. Since we were sightseeing during the day, we didn’t get to enjoy the pool which always looked so inviting. Unfortunately, by the time we returned from our travels, it was a little breezy and overcast for us to use the pool. However, we did enjoy the view and reading from the patio around the pool. Casa Soleada had internet service which allowed us to stay in touch with our family and a TV. Jim, the owner, was fabulous at answer questions I had before traveling to PR and he provided a nice travel packet which we used frequently during our stay."

  • This place is the best

"We were a group of students looking for a place to spend a relaxing spring break, and Heriberto's place fit the bill. Really convenient location, particularly with a car (Heriberto let us rent his truck for a great price). A pleasant walk through a golf course takes you to the beach nearby and a short drive takes you to the famous Crashboat beach (which is beautiful) and Jobos (good for beginner surfers). The apartment itself is wonderful. Clean, modern, really great kitchen. Perfect for up to (we had) 7 people. Nice porch and roof top patio. Heribert was really helpful and accessible, and we thank him a lot! Debes quedarte aquí si puedes! El apartamento es muy muy lindo y cerca a las playas bonitas. Gracias a Heriberto!"

  • Excellent location, well maintained condo

"The condo is in an excellent location and right on the beach with breathtaking views from all directions. Restaurants and eating facilities are within walking distance. Walgreens across the street for quick purchases and car rental very close. Good security for the condo and beach. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends. Check-in and check out was friendly and well explained by Lorraine."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
