  • Great Rental for Families!!

"We were in P.R. for a family reunion, and were able to find 2 Rentals owned by the same owner, needless to say the two homes were next door to each other. The owner, Robert, was in town during the week of our stay and was readily available to assist if there were any issues. Robert was very amicable and provided some suggestions for places to eat and great activites to do. Both homes were spacious and very comfortable! We had 3 couples, and 3 children in the rental, and never felt overcrowded!! Would definitely recommend this rental home in Palmas del Mar, and would rent again. Thanks Robert!!"

  • A taste of Old San Juan

"What a charming home! My husband and I found Rosa’s vrbo online, booked it and exchanged some detailed emails with Rosa prior to our arrival. Rosa was so helpful, suggesting sites to visit and recommended restaurants. She made it clear that we were to fully enjoy her “second home”. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - and her homemade cheese which was left for us in the fridge. We even made a return visit to Rosa after our cruise so that we could participate in one of her amazing cheese-making workshops! We know that any future plans to visit Old San Juan will mean an email to Rosa to book another stay. Highly recommend!! Thanks Rosa!"

  • Great Villa in perfect Cabo Rojo Location

"This was our second time staying at Villa Taina. This Villa was bigger and more modern than others in the complex. Most villas have only 1 bath, but this one had 3/4 bath facilities downstairs, cutting the family shower waiting time in half. The villa is spacious and it is apparent it grew as it was remodeled, giving you more inside space in the rooms and living areas. Kitchen had all the items needed to cook and we used some available folding chairs and coolers for the beach. There is also a clothes washer and a grill at the villa. Buyé is the best beach around and its not far. On-site security guards were great providing directions and other useful info. Love the private beach, especially late in the day as it is so peaceful. Just remember to put some OFF at night due to mosquitoes and plenty of lotion during the day to avoid getting toasted. Price is great, considering it will cost you way more if you stayed in El Poblado (Boquerón). If cooking a lot, would recommend you get groceries/beer before getting there. We stopped at a Mayagüez Pueblo store, way cheaper and better selection than some of the small local stores. The owner was prompt answering questions and sending the needed info to book the place. This is the first time I use VRBO and won't be the last."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
