  • Fabulous Condo, Location, and Amazing View

"My husband and I just got back last night from spending 9 days in this beautiful condo. Every time I walked in the door I was mesmerized by the breathtaking views. The views where everywhere! The strategic placement of mirrors throughout the condo provided a continuous view of the ocean and beach. The bed was comfortable, plenty of extra pillows, and the furnishings were nice. We loved having the washer and dryer to use throughout our stay. There wasn't anything that we could want for. We will definitely be back! Beatrice was wonderful to work with. The location of the condo is easy walking distance to numerous restaurants."

  • Our own private escape

"We had a great time at this vacation rental. It had everything we needed. Because we were there just a short time (5 days) we didn't have the opportunity to cook much of our own food, but it seemed as though the kitchen was stocked to do so. There was air conditioning in the bedroom, but we didn’t need it. There were windows on all sides of the house for a nice cross-breeze. We didn’t make use of the bunk beds in the second bedroom, but there was more than enough space to store our clothing. The outdoor shower was a nice plus after walking on the beach. The next door neighbours were very friendly, although we didn’t see much of them. The street was very quiet, and we could usually only hear birds. At times we could hear planes taking off, but it really didn’t bother us. The beach house felt like our own private escape. Walking along the beach during the day and at sunset was great. You can walk a long way in either direction. We took advantage of the location to have a sunset dinner at Eclipse, and to go horseback riding. For other places, we needed a car. When you stay here, go to Ola Lola's. Not only was the food great, but the owner gave us recommendations of his favorite things to do in and around Isabela. He suggested that the waves were too high that week to swim within walking distance of the beach house, and sent us to Crashboat Beach. We aren’t surfers, but it seemed like the area around the beach house would be great for surfing. The house has maps, guidebooks, and printouts of places that surfers might like to visit. It made a great base for trips to the surrounding area (including Gozalandia falls), and was an easy drive from the San Juan airport. The owner was extremely helpful and responded quickly to emails. We can’t wait to return!"

  • In Praise of Staying with a Friend

"Finding an experience like the one Brad offered through our stay at Yunque Brisas has become my new travel goal. His extensive knowledge of the island and general good taste will surprise visitors; we felt incredibly lucky to have discovered his oasis. A few highlights among many: Insider tips – Brad told us about the best hiking areas of the forest, exceptional seafood arepas on the beach (off menu), private beach spots, plus more. He was very open to sharing the best of Puerto Rico and displayed genuine interest in our having the best possible vacation. It was like having a local friend. Extraordinary menu – The continental breakfast he includes with your stay is an astonishing assortment of vibrant, local fruits plus fresh squeezed juice. Every day we ordered a full breakfast to complement the starter because we uncovered Brad’s professional background as a chef. His meals were inventive, fresh, and entirely homemade with garden ingredients. You absolutely have to try his Pina Colada. Perfect location – This was less than an hour from San Juan airport if you take the scenic route along the coast (worthwhile!). We were close to the Fajardo biobay, gorgeous beaches, a string of popular food kiosks, and a ten minute drive from the entrance of the Yunque forest. Beautiful home – Each of the rooms in the villa are enclosed by screens with wood shades to allow natural air flow and organic scents from the surrounding fruit trees. Taking a break to gaze at the ocean on the patio was a pleasure, we were thrilled to have a retreat between activities. Can’t wait to book a trip back for a second stay."

  • Beautiful property- lovely stay

"We stayed at this beautiful property for three nights and wish it had been longer. We were two couples and our 87-year old father. The property was perfect for all of us. The pictures don't do it justice--perfectly appointed, spotless, gracious hosts, charming beach-y town. We loved sitting poolside and enjoying the views of the ocean. La Parguera is a good base for exploring the southern and western side of Puerto Rico. We bought fresh fish in town and grilled one night on the patio. Lovely!"
