  • Beautiful, quiet, well-equipped condo

"This condo at Bosque del Mar was perfect for my family (2 parents plus 2 college student children)! It is a clean, comfortable, well-equipped oceanfront condo in a very quiet location just a few steps to a nearly deserted beach which is perfect for walking or wading. The condo was as pictured on the listing (or even better!) and had everything we needed. The condo complex is clean and modern and also has a pool and tennis court which looked very nice. There was a guard at the gated entrance and patrolling the grounds of the condo complex, so we felt very secure. Roberto was easy to communicate with, very helpful during the reservation process, and even checked in with us during the stay to make sure everything was going well. Our favorite part of the condo was the view of the ocean from any of the three decks, and we spent each morning enjoying the view of the ocean through the palms, the sound of the waves, and the pleasant ocean breeze. We really appreciated all the equipment that was available to us at the condo (beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, surf/boogie boards, BBQ grill, beach towels). When we got to the condo, Roberto had even provided a basket of goodies to welcome us! The location is convenient, just a few minutes drive from Highway 3 and from El Yunque Rainforest and the Luquillo Kioscos. Our favorite activities in the area were zip-lining and hiking in the rainforest, taking a snorkeling cruise to Culebra, and an electric boat tour of the bioluminescent bay, Laguna Grande. We highly recommend these activities and Roberto's condo."

  • Beautiful 3 Bedroom condo in Fajardo

"We stayed here for a few days in July. The condo is clean, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with the ocean breezes. There is a nice pool and a beach is only five minutes away. We would stay here again."

  • Fabulous 50

"I was turning 50 and knew that I had to be somewhere on a beach. Immediately I thought of Puerto Rico. When I come to the island I usually stay in San Juan. This time I wanted to be closer to the locals and experience a less tourist vacation. I am so happy I made that decision!! My family is from Fajardo and I remember living here when I was a teenager, the beaches are by far some of the prettiest!! Pena Mar Ocean Club, was perfect - the condo was beautiful, the view spectacular!! To wake up on my 50th birthday to such beauty. Literally choked me up that morning. Ammar, the owner of the condo was accommodating and available from the moment I made the reservations. The condo is close to everything from Wal-Mart to "El Yunce" The security was comforting, it was four women traveling alone, not once did we feel unsafe. I am already planning to return on the 4th of July! And no need to ask where I'll be staying!! Gracias Ammar for a memorable birthday!!!!"

  • Rich

"A comfortable studio apartment in a gated condo complex and a great location directly across from the ocean. Great views from the balcony. Within walking distance-a bike trail,a town beach with a naturally protected swimming area ( big waves ), a town park with local food and culture. The condo complex also has a gym and a pool. We really enjoyed our week there! It was our third visit!"

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy. Enjoy a vacation on your own time where you don't need to get up in time for breakfast if you don't want to. It is the best way to enjoy vacation on this tropical island.
