  • great time

"My family and I had spent two weeks of our summer in this wonderful home. When we began planning our trip to Puerto Rico, we were very indecisive about where we were going to stay. When we came across casa de borinquen we were captivated. When coming in contact with Jose,he was very helpful and kind. You can tell he truly wanted us to have a good experience. I would recommend this house to anyone. It was a truly beautiful and peaceful vacation."

  • excellent property, awesome location

"A very well maintained property with an excellent location. Cuca and Arturo are very attentive and respond quickly to your requests. Place is very clean, and have everything you need, and is exactly as advertised. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or family trip, beaches like Mar Chiquita, and La Poza de las Mujeres, are one of the best beaches in PR. There are several beaches in the area for different activities like snorkeling, surfing, or just relax. We had a great time. Thanks for everything. Damaris"

  • Nice Stay

"Rented this property for a week very convenient for exploring the east side of Puerto Rico. Close to the Rainforest, Fajardo and the ferry to Culebra or Vieques, as well as several small towns with beaches. The house itself was nicely furnished. Great swimming pool and back yard. No views, and no A/C on those warm afternoons but the fans kept the air moving. Mosquitos after dark--came home with a few bites! Only complaint, and why I didn't give a five star rating, is that the wifi/internet never worked. I notified the owner, who was on the island, and he said he would come look at it. Never heard from him again during our week's stay, and never had internet. Frustrating when, in our electronic world, you can't MapQuest out the next day's journey or check email, etc..."

  • Nice

"My 13 year old daughter and I stayed 4 nights over Spring Break. I wish we could have stayed longer. Cuneen made the stay seemless. The unit has everything you could need (beach towels, sunscreen, kitchen supplies, etc.). My daughter loved the loft. It has a porch off the bedroom and another off the living room. It overlooks the cluster pool. Except for birds and frogs, the place is very quiet. Usually we were the only people in the pool. There is easy acess to the beach and beach pool and we often had those to ourselves also. There are lots of great restaurants nearby. This is a great base for activities. El Yunque entrance is just across the highway. The ferry terminal for Culebra is a short drive. The bio-bay kayak tours are close. The food koisks are just down the road. If you don't feel like going off the resort there are restaurants, ice cream, bars and a casino down the hill in the hotel. We only used the ac at night, the breeze kept it cool most of the time. The second bathroom, was out front and was very clean, but we didn't need it. The beach near the pool has chairs and a small bar (open on weekends), but feels very private. We are already making plans to return with my wife and other daughter."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.
