  • Awesome Puerto Rico getaway -- best location!

"This property is clean and exactly as pictured. It is on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view from a balcony equipped with 2 chairs, a cafe table and a hammock. A lovely breeze and ocean sounds create a very relaxing and comfortable living area and balcony. A/C in the bedroom worked well. No problems with hot water. No problems with neighbors. No leaks. I would disregard the previous negative post. WiFi is available now. Best location! This beach was our favorite in PR, and we visited a few other beaches that our tour book highlighted -- nothing compared to Isla Verde! Covered/secure parking is a bonus, as there is so much to see and explore on this beautiful island. Annie and Zahatiel were wonderful hosts. All of the previous reviews are spot-on. They took great care of us. The condo was equipped with everything we might need for adventure and fun. No, it is not fully updated, but we don't need granite countertops to enjoy our vacation. Finally, as budget travelers, my sister and I could not be happier. Dining in PR is a bit expensive. Having a stocked kitchen made it easy to cook breakfast and enjoy coffee each morning. We took advantage of roadside fruit stands, Pinones and Luquillo kioskos, and lichones in Guavate -- and always brought home carry-out to reheat or pack for an excursion. Hiking in El Yunque? Grab the cooler, slice up pineapple, toss in the leftover cerviche and chips, load towels and go! Hit the beach in Farjardo or Luquillo after. And, of course, keep the condo stocked with PR rum for happy hours on the beautiful balcony. Enjoy!"

  • Relaxing Anniversary Getaway

"We just returned from our very relaxing stay. From first email contact, Liz was very easy to work with. She patiently answered all our questions and provided much information we didn't know we needed. Upon arrival, Aida and Gilbert were extremely helpful and kind. They made sure we were settled and that we knew where the closest grocery and drug store were. The trip went very smoothly, the condo was fantastic, the view is unbeatable. The pool is just steps away and beautiful. The Crash Boat beach is one of my favorite beaches in the world. We would recommend the place to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay in Aguadilla. I hope to get a chance to return!"

  • Our 1st Vacation Rental - Amazing morning views!

"This summer as part of our family trip we decided to rent an apartment for the first time. We ended up in this wonderful gem! The apartment was spacious and comfortable (there were five of us). My mother had not been on the island in more than 50 years and having this inviting home as a place to relax from our whirlwind activity filled days was a Godsend. The condo has all the comforts of home, more so because we were able to step right out of the property to the beach. In the front closet there are beach chairs, cooler, umbrella and beach toys which we were able to use while on the beach. Waking up and sitting on the balcony at dawn was one of the most beautiful and tranquil moments of the day and a highlight of our memories. Jim is personable and communicated with us before, during and after our stay. My family unanimously agrees that we will be visiting again! After staying here no more hotel rooms for us. Thanks Jim!"

  • Fantastic property and owner

"We have been renting properties through VRBO for a while and Jorge is the best owner we have dealt with. Extremely helpful and professional. The condo and the beach was exactly what the pictures show. The entire property is clean and we'll kept. Pool area was beautiful to sit around each morning and the beach is endless with very few people. Jorge made sure we had lots of information of the things to do around the Island and checked in a couple times to make sure things were ok. A bonus was the overstocked fridge and pantry this was a great added feature as we didn't need to worry about groceries immediately. The location is very private and you feel secluded yet the grocery stores are only 10 minutes away. If you meet his neighbor watch out for the great cosmo's he makes. The only thing I would change is to stay longer."

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals

Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.

Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas

The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.

Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals

The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.

Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Puerto Rico

There are some definite advantages to renting a vacation home in Puerto Rico. If you have a large group of friends traveling together or are planning a wedding, you can secure a villa that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. You can wake up each morning in the privacy of your own home and enjoy breakfast out on the deck. Many of the villas are fully serviced with housekeepers who can take care of all the household tasks including cleaning, shopping and preparing meals. Most of the vacation homes are beautifully furnished with stylish finishes and top-of-the-range appliances. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that everyone in your travel party can enjoy a level of privacy.
