"This was an wonderful vacation. I would come back here in a heartbeat. We spent the night listening to ocean and nature sounds. This is an excellent location to see western PR. We swam on the beach next to the apartment and snorkeled right outside the apartment. The restaurants were wonderful serving seafood and other types of food. One of our favorites is Vista Bahia. I love the lobster there and feeding the fish that swim below the dock where we sat. Also took a tour with Aleli tours and went kayaking in the biolumiscient bay. There is plenty to do here. We hung out with the pelicans at the lighthouse beach and went for a hike there to the lighthouse. The owner and the manager were excellent. They responded promptly and it was very easy to deal with them. The manager was very helpful with planning our stay there."Guest: Arifa K. "We just got back from staying in Puerto Rico and had an amazing time. While the resort is great the villa was even better. The value was amazing for what it was. Watch out for Richies cafe the local restaurant...very pricey. You must eat local food. amazing. Villla was comfortable for our needs and we loved the wooden finishings and the furniture. Amazing view of the golf course from the villa and great natural AC when you opened up the windows. Richard was easy to get in touch with....he works at the Ritz Carlton in Dorado so seemed to be in tune with all the tours and things to do in the area. Great help...Thank you!| Park at the beach club pool (5 mins awl or 1 minute drive) for free and avoid the hotel parking fees. Hotel was a 5 minute walk from the parking. Pool next to the villa was a godsend. All in all an amazing vacation...We already worked out our repeat visitor discount!"Guest: Ramon O. "Our experience at Marbella was 'Heaven on Earth' First, my husband does not enjoy traveling as much as I do; but to my surprise, he absolutely loved this unit. The unit was equipped with all the comforts of home. Full kitchen, split floor plan makes it perfect for two families.. Finally, the views of the Caribbean were amazing! We enjoyed the peaceful tranquility of the plush tropical landscaped resort at such an affordable rate.. Thank you for allowing us to share such a beautiful place in paradise.. We will definitely return again.. Rose"Guest: Rose D. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 6, 2014View listing
Puerto Rico Travel Tips
Visitors to Puerto Rico Vacation Rentals
Puerto Rico is a vibrant Caribbean island travel destination. It is a place where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, fine dining, a wide variety of water sports and a number of nature attractions. People who generally travel to Puerto Rico are attracted by the persistent sunshine and tropical island paradise. Depending on if you enjoy the vibrant resort-style vacation or something more remote and quiet, you can choose which part of the island you want to stay on. Relax on the beaches during the day and then hit the nightspots for some dancing in the evenings.
Best Time of Year to Visit Puerto Rico Villas
The most popular travel season to Puerto Rico is between December and April. During this time, visitors can expect hot sunny days with very little rainfall. In general, this is considered to be the dry season, although occasional rain showers do still occur. Another reason that this is a popular time of year to visit is that the humidity levels are lower. The warm weather also attracts many visitors from New York City, Boston and Chicago who want to escape the winter freeze. In general, there is little seasonal variation in the temperature in Puerto Rico. The seasons are more often defined by the humidity and rainfall. From May through October, the amount of rainfall increases, making the air muggy and sticky. This makes it feel as though it is much hotter. From July to October, tropical storms sometimes hit the islands, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds. This is typically the low tourist season in Puerto Rico.
Getting to Puerto Rico Resort Rentals
The main airport on Puerto Rico is located just nine miles from San Juan. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport hosts frequent international flights from North America, Europe, South America and neighboring Caribbean destinations. As a U.S. foreign territory, flights from America are viewed as regional rather than international flights. San Juan is a major travel hub in the Caribbean for travelers from the United States. There are regular commercial flights from most major cities, including Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Houston. If you cannot find a direct flight connection from your hometown, you may consider finding flights that route via one of these main travel hubs. In total, there are 29 airports in Puerto Rico, most of them hosting regional and domestic flights. Getting around the island is fairly easy. There is a metro rail system that serves the greater San Juan Metropolitan area. It is also relatively easy to hire a car to explore the island. Be aware that traffic can get pretty congested in urban areas.
