"The house was simply amazing! My group and I were very satisfied with the house. Beautiful home, lots of space, big rooms, enough restrooms, great backyard, cool pool, it had it all. Couldn't have asked for a better home to stay in while my vacation in Puerto Rico. Great owners as well, friendly and understanding. Thank you for your help! I definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting San Juan :)"

  • Beautiful Property

"Our family's first trip to Puerto Rico. We had no idea of what to expect. The house is off the beaten path (we rented a Jeep) on some narrow, curvy, bumpy and steep roads, but Monica’s directions were spot-on and the location well worth the drive (recommend not trying to find the house for the first time after dark). If you want to be insulated from the real Puerto Rico, this is not the place for you, you should go to a resort instead. However, if you want a clean house with plenty of room, a great view and more autonomy and adventure, then I recommend renting a Jeep and this house. The location is easy access to everything on the east end of the island. The view from the house overlooks Fajardo. We rented the downstairs unit since the upstairs unit was already rented by some snowbirds for the month. Downstairs has kitchen, two bathrooms, two bedrooms (with air conditioners) and two futons (one in the living room and one in the office) and laundry room. They also supply beach towels which was great since towels can take up so much room in your luggage! We went to Fajardo for the Bio Bay kayaking trip and to Puerto Del Rey Marina (just down the hill from the house) for a Catamaran ride and snorkeling to Icacos. Our daughter had a surfing lesson at Luquillo beach and we enjoyed the food at the Luquillo balneario kiosks. We got groceries for breakfast food and snacks at Ralph’s Food Warehouse off highway 3 but there are plenty of restaurants in Farjardo and the fishing town of Las Croabas so we ate out for lunches and dinners. We found most of the restaurants via Trip Advisor. However, restaurant parking (and driving on the back roads) can be an adventure all in itself! Puerto Ricans park anywhere there is a space on the side of the road and if there isn’t a space, they make one. Same is true if you are going to the El Yunque rain forest...the Jeep came in very handy when parking in some unusual places. We recommend this house. If we go again, we would rent the entire house. The snowbirds were friendly, but they had guests when we first arrived and every morning they were talking on the patio and sound carries against those concrete walls. Once the guests left, it was a lot more quite - except for the nightly serenade from the co qui frogs :)."

  • An Excellent Choice

"This is an EXCELLENT choice for a visitor to Puerto Rico who wants to stay close enough to things but a little bit away (a mile or two) from some of the busier areas. I've been to San Juan about 11 times in the last two years and stayed in both Condado and Isla Verde....well, Ocean Park is in the middle and I really liked it here: quiet, a minute from the beach, and a few restaurants and grocery stores within about 1000 yards. Just what I needed and since I rent a car I could go anywhere, but found the nice solitude of this area simply amazing. I made a decision not to stay in a hotel and contacted a handful of rentals through this site. Stanley was the only owner to contact me within an hour (the rest took about 24 hours) and although I can't guarantee he is always able to do this, it clearly stood out as a good sign. We arrived about 8:30pm and Stanley was there to greet us. I can't say enough about how responsive he is and genuinely wants the visitor to have a great experience. I will stay again at one of his properties. About this apartment: It was clean and stocked with everything needed for a week's stay. What you see in the pictures is what we found, although there is a flat screen television mounted on the wall in the living room that I don't see in one of the pictures.) Pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and misc other items (cooking oil, coffee, spices, and just extras that were helpful.) And there are a couple of amazing outdoor patios that were beautiful. The first is just outside the living room and so comfortable that one evening I did work on my laptop out there. The second is the rooftop that is (if I recall) tiled and gives you a good view of the ocean. Both were incredibly relaxing. I needed to use wi-fi one evening and Stanley gave me the password. It worked just fine (I see another renter had problems but I was there a couple weeks earlier and had no issues.) Parking was easily available and air conditioning in the rooms were excellent. Open a few windows in the kitchen and living room--the ocean breeze was wonderful and it was incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend this property, as well as the kind of communication and customer service that Stanley provides. It was a great experience. I liked it so much that I'm available if anyone has questions at ddg1111@outlook.com. I'm from Texas."

  • Do we have to leave?

"The only downside to our week at this incredible place is that we did not stay for a second week. Seriously, none of us wanted to go home. The villa is exactly as advertised; it is simply a wonderful place with plenty of room for entertaining and outdoor activities. The two completely equipped kitchens have every gadget, gizmo, and cooking device a chef could want. One of the villa’s best features is that it is very quiet and private yet within walking distance of the beach and within an easy drive to another more commercial beach up north. The pool offers sun and shade to fit everyone’s tastes and was the perfect place to lounge when we weren’t watching the surfers from the veranda. Speaking of the verandas….there are quiet nooks to hide away and read, and others for more sociable activities. The town of Rincon is quaint and charming and we found the people...local as well as visitors... to be friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the farmer’s market on Sunday morning and the artist’s night during the week. While we sampled plenty of excellent restaurants along the water, we were not able to get to them all. Equally fun are the roadside offerings. Our group took field trips during our week, exploring western, southern, and northern Puerto Rico. Rincon beaches are well known for surfing but much calmer waters can be found south of there around the town of Cabo Roho. Either way, the area can please a broad spectrum. Some of our group enjoyed the closest golf course, Punto Borinquen Golf Club, which is about a half-hour away. The ocean views are fabulous, course layout is nice and challenging. This is great for something to do for a couple of hours if you enjoy playing the game. The staff was very nice and accommodating and for $25, including golf and cart (seniors) it is a great value. The Property Manager (concierge) Allison is a truly wonderful, knowledgeable asset. She helped find sources for various activities and answered all our questions."
