"We stayed for 3 nights and we so wish we could have stayed longer! Our trip to Vieques started out pretty rough. But then Josh and Kikito to the rescue!! We had originally booked another VRBO property in which they informed us the day we were flying out that they had double- booked us. Ugh!! So we were flying to Vieques with no place to stay. I found Josh's Caribbean Oceanfront (very last minute) and boy did we luck out! Not only was the house available but we were also able to book it within a few hours and had all the information we needed to stay for the next 3 nights. Josh was so quick to get us everything we needed. And I can't help but feel it was a blessing in disguise because this place was a hundred times better than the original place we were supposed to stay in (we actually drove by the other place). We spent most of our time on the front porch of the Reefhouse...absolutely gorgeous view and perfect place for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening after exploring the beaches all day. The airconditioning in the house was a life saver bc we did go during a time that was super hot outside. I do recommend getting a car to explore the whole island which everything is literally within about 15 to 20 minute drive. If you don't have a car, you can walk to Isabell (the town where the ferry docs) and there is plenty to do there, but Esperanza was our favorite area and you do need a car to get there (about 15 minutes away). Josh had plenty of information about the island right there in the house and the WIFI was great so that we could look up things to do on Trip advisor if needed. I highly recommend this property!! I can't wait to come back to Vieques and we will definitely be staying at Josh's house again!"

"My husband and I got married the day before we arrived on Vieques, and could not have been happier with Wind Dancer when we saw the property! Like previous reviews stated, the property was even better than we had expected, and we really loved our stay. Not only did it have everything we needed (and things we didn't need but are fun to have on vacation and add to the experience), but the accommodations are very comfortable and the views spectacular. We cooked most of our meals at the house and enjoyed eating on the veranda, relaxing, laughing, and spending time with a little cat who decided to hang out with us while we were there. Jane had prepared a list of restaurants that were open during the season and has a lot of other to-do and how-to information on site, making it easy to get around the island stress free. We were also picked up from the airport and received a wonderful "this is where you can find..." tour on the way to the property. Vieques itself is beautiful and so fun, and we have been recommending to folks to visit, and to stay at Wind Dancer if they do. We thoroughly enjoyed driving around the island, the beaches, the scenery, and all of the local flair. My husband and I are hoping to get back to the island in the not too distant future, and hope to stay at Wind Dancer again as well. I couldn't imagine a better week, or a better honeymoon!"

"What a great stay at Casa de Pepito for our family of three's first trip to Vieques!
Octavian and Catherine's home has all of the gear you'll need for your time exploring as many of the beautiful beaches as you wish, it's ideally situated for a quick walk to the waterfront shops and restaurants on the nearby malecon, but it's also comfortable enough and well-appointed enough that you're tempted to stick around the house and lounge the day away in your home away from home in Esperanza.
This rapidly became our Casa de Pepito routine: Wake up; get a ham, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich from the bakery around the corner; decide which of the many beautiful Viequense beaches to visit that day; gather the beach towels, chairs, and umbrella; load up the cooler; and hop into our rental jeep to go visit a beach or two. In the evening - watch the kids playing baseball in the field across the street, walk down to the malecon for dinner and drinks, and buy some staples at the little store on the walk back.
Casa de Pepito's caretaker, Barbara, was a real joy to work with. She got in touch with us well in advance of our arrival, and once we arrived on the island, made sure we were very well taken of during our stay, including escorting us to the house to make sure we were comfortably checked in. Our flight arrived several hours before the official check-in time, and so I'd anticipated taking a drive around the island and stopping in a restaurant for a bit. Instead, Barbara took us right to the house as soon as we arrived. I'm sure that's not always possible depending on previous tenant's check-out, and though the early check-in was certainly not expected, it was very appreciated.
If you're looking for a vacation experience that allows you to feel a welcome part of the friendly Esperanza neighborhood, and is equipped with all you could possibly need for your stay on Vieques, Casa de Pepito is a perfect vacation home.
Note: Although I selected that I'd recommend this property for tourists without a car because you can easily get to shops and restaurants by foot, having a jeep is really the way to go so that you can explore Vieques and access the island's beautiful beaches."

"This was the first trip my girlfriend and I have made to Vieques after many years of talking about going. We like to vacation in places a bit of the grid in beautiful natural settings. Last year we vacationed on Isla Mujeres off the Yucatan coast. Vieques was everything we had imagined and more. Navigating our jeep to find new beaches made every day feel like an adventure and we never stopped wondering at yet another beautiful, virtually deserted beach. It didn’t take us long to fall into the rhythm of island life. We also loved that the magnificent horses roamed free on the island along with various other species. Really hard to believe this island was so abused by the US military for so many years.
And 360Vieques is amazingly beautiful home base. It is designed for you to spend as much time out-of-doors as possible. The various decks, the beautiful pool, the views from the roof with those intoxicating breezes- sigh – all made for a memorable experience.
Both the design of the house and its physical location are really great. Besides sleeping, we spent very little time indoors. And even with sleeping, waking up to the amazing vista looking out to Caribbean made the start of every day breathtaking. Everything is made easy for the guests and we felt quite at home in no time.
It's really hard to come up with suggested improvements. Possibly having wifi, although not having access probably helped our stress levels and kept us outside more of the time.
The representation on the website is very accurate but the pictures really don’t capture the full experience. How do you capture in pictures the beautiful, warm intoxicating breezes that were a constant presence, the magnificent night sky, the changing lightscape from morning to dusk?
The property managers Annette and Dennis were perfect hosts. Annette picked us up at our car rental and gave us an orientation to the island along with her favorite spots to dine, and Dennis had the unfortunate task of taking us to drop off our car rental before heading to our flight but not before talking about his island life.
We'll definitely be back."
