"Arrive to the airport, rent a jeep, and get ready to be impressed. A local contact Jxxx showed us the way to the house, the remote opened the first gate by the road, right next to restaurant Next Course, then a third of a mile on a dirty road and the second gate also opens with the same remote. The gates close behind us and we feel like we own the mountain as there are no other properties near us. The studio overlooks the ocean with an unobstructed view from a cliff. The infinity pool blends perfectly well with the ocean. OMG! there are stools built into the pool were you can sip your favorite concoction. "Cava for me", I tell my girlfriend.
After a long nap in our studio we go for a drive and enjoy an incredible lobster at Trade Winds, which is only 20 minutes away. When we return we jump in the jacuzzi and sip a bit more cava.
The next two days are just as splendid. Not sure what I did to deserve so much luxury."

"We just returned from our second trip to Vieques. Previously, we rented a different house, so this was our first time at Los Frutales. My husband and I were completely blown away.
The house was incredible and Michele and Damien were excellent property managers! Everything went very smoothly even though we arrived over an hour early on our flight! We followed Michele and Damien up to the house and they gave us a great tour and basic lay of the land. The views from the property are jaw dropping and you have so much privacy!! The location of the house could not be better! You are a quick drive from both towns and the reserve.
We loved the all the fruit trees - fresh mangoes! The chickens were a delight. We did not mind them at all in the mornings. When staying at a property among locals, guests should expect the true local experience! The W is for guests who want secluded, resort living. This house was stocked with every amenity you could think of. We cooked several times while there and everything was at our fingertips! I blistered my foot on the first day on the beach, and low and behold, band-aids were in the bathroom! The wifi was reliable the first day or two, but then became spotty. We were fine though because our Verizon phones worked just fine! Remember to adjust your roaming settings when you arrive on the islands!
We will definitely stay at Los Frutales again. We loved it so much that after day one, we joked about canceling the other half of our trip and staying here the whole week instead of only 4 nights! We already miss the view at the pool and the amazing rooftop deck!
Thank you so much Michele and Damien!!"

"We were so pleased by our week rental over Christmas at Isola. Our family includes two college age kids and we enjoyed the porch more than we could have imagined. We drank our coffee while reading the paper in the morning (wireless worked great!), watched the sunset over cocktails in the evening before dinner and stayed up late at night playing card games and talking. Not a single mosquito, but I understand that may have been the time of year. The beds were comfortable and the whole house was spotless. The kitchen had just exactly what we needed (a set of measuring cups would have been useful) and we cooked most of our meals there including Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners. The lobster from the fisherman was delicious and lobster pot and gas grill were great to have. Our little beach in front was a great place to do a little fly fishing in the evening - my husband's favorite activity - and we took an evening swim a few times. We had fun exploring the rest of the beaches on Vieques but the best part of our whole trip was this house..."

"We loved our stay in Vieques and this sweet house was the perfect place to begin and finish our days exploring all it's natural beauty. Joe was tremendously helpful and welcoming when we arrived and gave us lots of great advice on snorkelling, restaurants and beaches. The house was clean, comfy and spacious for our family of four, and we also appreciated having beach chairs and a washing machine. Also really loved being able to make our own breakfasts and lunches, though the restaurant options on the malecon were so great that we always walked down for dinner and a nice evening stroll. Our favorite way to travel is to stay in places that are charming, budget-friendly and allow us to feel connected to a place or neighbourhood - Magnolia House was the perfect spot!"
