Recent Vieques Island property reviews

  • La Vista Caribena was a perfect match for us!

"We stayed in this home for 9 nights and 10 days and it was a great fit for our family of five. We had three bedrooms and a right sized kitchen, dining and living area. The neighborhood was nice, walkable to the Malecon, very close to La Dulce Esperanza and the Colmado. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to the island."

  • A serene vacation home in Esperanza Vieques

"I have stayed at Casa Azul in Esperanza on multiple occasions for it's perfect location in Vieques. This cute home provides all the privacy needed from the healthy vibrant tropical garden inside the decorative walled property. The screened and louvered glass windows and doors allow the radiant Caribbean light to flow into the home making it a cheery place to rejuvenate one's spirit. The property manager couple are so passionate about the island. It reflects in the service they provide starting with meeting you at the airport and helping you get to the car rental place and or Casa Azul. Thus "no worries" while here! The beaches are so serene, natural and so uncrowded one often feels one has the whole beach to oneself. There are at least 8 Caribbean beaches to explore, some with coral reefs for snorkeling! Kayaking off the Malecon shoreline is also great fun. The evening sunsets are spectacular along the Malecon. After sundown, back at the house your ears will be serenaded by the sweet sounds of the native unseen tree frogs. Regarding the amenities, the TV is only a monitor for movie rental viewing. All other amenities are clean and meet expectations. I stay each time for a week & feel thoroughly renewed from my experience at Casa Azul."

  • Absolutely Amazing - total luxury

"Our stay at Villa de Paradis was everything we hoped it would be. The villa is nicely appointed and has high-end finishes and furnishings. It was spacious and accommodated our family well. It is even better than the pictures. It was an easy place to stay and relax. Being on the W Resort property was great for the security, restaurants (great food and service), cafe, & other amenities. Estela, the owner was always responsive to our emails and answered our questions as well as gave us recommendations for places to go for shopping (Buen Provecho -amazing) & restaurants. The property managers were very responsive, helpful and nice. Everyone in our family loved watching our daily visit from the horses and seeing brand new fouls play and be with their mothers. The beach below the property was difficult to get to but once there we had an amazing time exploring the tidal pools and snorkeling and it was incredibly private. We had so much fun spending our days in the sun and enjoying the beauty that Vieques offers. We enjoyed the pool as well, especially the kids. There are a few things that I want to mention to others to have a heads up. Unfortunately, we didn't find the formal path to the larger, less rocky beach until our last day. This path is just a few houses toward the end of the road. We wish we had known about it earlier so we could have explored and enjoyed that beach as well. It would have been great to have a 'what you need to know' guide at the house to orient new visitors to the house and immediate surrounding area. We also were able to connect to the house WiFi but could never get an actual internet connection. Many of us had limited or no cellular service on the island so having active WiFi would have been nice but we never had an actual internet connection. So for those that this is important (I actually benefited from being not connected as it encouraged me to stay connected to my family and surroundings without distraction), you may want to get confirmation that the internet connection will be active, not just an active router. Given my limited cellular service while staying at the house, I wasn't able to contact the owner to resolve the problem and honestly didn't want to waste time dealing with it. I did contact the property managers but they couldn't help resolve it. It wasn't a big deal but frustrating as we were expecting internet access. We loved our stay here and are already planning our next visit."

  • This House is Amazing

"My Wife and I stayed at this house the first four days during our 8 day honeymoon, the other 4 days were spent at the W resort. While the W resort was lavish and posh, we much preferred the ambiance of this beautiful house up in the hills. Staying at Vieques 360 was the highlight of our trip. The house was every bit as amazing as it seems in the pictures. It is charming, relatively private (Just a few houses in close proximity) and captures the nature of Vieques. The house is plenty big enough for 2-4 people and it has the most amazing pool, looking out over the whole island. The pictures really don't do justice the feeling of sitting in that beautiful pool overlooking the island and out into the ocean. There is an unbelievable roof top deck. Perfect for sunrises, sunsets and sitting out under the stars. The bedroom has french doors overlooking the island and there is just the most soothing island breeze that constantly keeps air circulating through the house. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this house. We were able to do our own cooking some nights (Plenty of items to use) and the management team made sure the pool was kept in pristine condition while we were there."
