"This large well furnished house is in a very central location. It's in good repair, and Renee was very helpful. She picked us up, helped us unload at the house, and enlightened us on all the great local spots before dropping us off at Maritza's (We wholeheartedly recommend renting a jeep from them).
We had quick access to all our favorite locations on this quaint island. The home's location and construction made us feel safe and secure. We went to bed each night to the sound of the Coqui frogs. We made the quick drive to the grocery store and brought back steaks for the gas grill to go with the fresh veggies we had picked up from the Tuesday morning farmer's market. It took us less than 10 minutes to get to lunch and shopping in Esperanza. About the same to get to our Buen Provecho each morning in Isabel Segunda for iced coffee and Salmon Bagel. Snorkeling at Green Beach was great. We only rented the top floor for our anniversary this time, but fully intend to rent the downstairs too when we bring the kids back."

"My wife and I stayed at Vista Does Mares for 10 days, and every single one of them was spectacular. Isla de Vieques is an incredibly beautiful place, from the bioluminescence of Mosquito Bay, to the volcanic sands of Playa Negra—and even so, we occasionally had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the comforts of the house. Likewise, the food on Vieques is varied and excellent, but more than a few nights we stayed in and grilled and blended up cocktails with fresh fruits and good, cheap Caribbean rum.
Vista Does Mares sits on one of the highest points on Vieques, and you really can see both seas, both sides of the island, from inside the house and from the wrap-around veranda. The pool is something to behold, offering privacy while also opening onto a view of the lush hills that roll down to the beach. And there's air conditioning, but we never turned it on once, so effective (not to mention soothing) were the breezes blowing through.
Adrienn greeted us at the airport, and she and Jared made our stay that much lovelier. They take great care of the house, they're great people all around, and they know the island like the back of their hands (and not incidentally, pretty much everybody on the island knows and loves them, too).
In short, we really cannot recommend Vista Does Mares highly enough if you're planning a trip to Vieques. It was an absolute joy, and we'll undoubtedly be back!"

"Our stay at Las Terrazas was truly amazing! This was our third time going to Vieques and we have stayed at really beautiful properties; but this was our favorite of all! The house is amazing, modern and well equipped. The views from each one of the balconies were breath taking. Our stay was definitely too short and leaving the house was not easy ;)
The house is like a retreat, yet it has everything you need to have a great time! The pictures on the website don't make justice. Karen was also very nice and helpful and I loved her sense of humor. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in Vieques!"

"We just returned from our second trip to Vieques. Previously, we rented a different house, so this was our first time at Los Frutales. My husband and I were completely blown away.
The house was incredible and Michele and Damien were excellent property managers! Everything went very smoothly even though we arrived over an hour early on our flight! We followed Michele and Damien up to the house and they gave us a great tour and basic lay of the land. The views from the property are jaw dropping and you have so much privacy!! The location of the house could not be better! You are a quick drive from both towns and the reserve.
We loved the all the fruit trees - fresh mangoes! The chickens were a delight. We did not mind them at all in the mornings. When staying at a property among locals, guests should expect the true local experience! The W is for guests who want secluded, resort living. This house was stocked with every amenity you could think of. We cooked several times while there and everything was at our fingertips! I blistered my foot on the first day on the beach, and low and behold, band-aids were in the bathroom! The wifi was reliable the first day or two, but then became spotty. We were fine though because our Verizon phones worked just fine! Remember to adjust your roaming settings when you arrive on the islands!
We will definitely stay at Los Frutales again. We loved it so much that after day one, we joked about canceling the other half of our trip and staying here the whole week instead of only 4 nights! We already miss the view at the pool and the amazing rooftop deck!
Thank you so much Michele and Damien!!"
