  • Nice spot walking distance to beach and easy to get to town.

"We really enjoyed the place. It was close enough to town. Very close to the beach to walk down. The photos are very accurate. Beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, towels, and cooler were all put to good use. Kitchen was fully equipped. The area was quiet and relaxed. If you want the party side of town, this is not it. Renee was super helpful throughout. We were grateful for the ride from the airport when we arrived late in the evening."

  • Amazing vacation!

"This was our second time to Vieques and first time staying at Los Bohios. The property is stunning and fit 3 families perfectly. The pool was perfect for the little ones and the hot tub was a bonus! The view from the pool and living room was just beautiful. The property is very private so you don't need to worry about seeing or hearing any neighbors. The kids loved running around the huge yard and seeing the horses surrounding the property. We enjoyed grilling and playing board games at night. There are coolers, snorkel gear, beach chairs AND a beach tent for the kids in the laundry room to use on the beach. The only thing we didn't have were buckets and shovels for the kids, but we made due without. There are plenty of spices and left over condiments from previous guests ( we also left some for the next guests) which was nice. There is no AC but you really don't need it. All 3 bedrooms have ceiling fans (master has 4) which provided enough circulation and the cool breeze kept us comfortable at night. We didn't sleep with the doors open just for fear of getting bit by mosquitos. Unfortunately the heater on the pool wasn't working so we didn't swim at night but the hot tub was perfect. There is a house alarm which we used when we were out but felt very safe the entire time we were there. We ate out a few times in Esperanza but mostly cooked/grilled at the house. We previously stayed in Isabel and enjoyed Esperanza so much more. The strip of shops and restaurants is very cute and has a beautiful view of the ocean. There are also 3 markets close by to buy food and alcohol. The beaches here (in my opinion) are some of the most beautiful in the caribbean. Crystal clear water, white sand and no rocks or shells. Our favorites are Blue beach (la Chiva) and Pata Prieta. We found these to be the least crowded and had the calmest water. We were fortunate to have gone the week when there was no moon so we did the bioluminescent bay tour and really enjoyed it. You definitely need to rent a car to get around the island. The house is located on top of a hill and nothing is within walking distance. Colleen the property manager was very helpful with getting us info on car rentals, ferry times and flight info. We hope to come back again soon!"

  • Excellent stay - would definitely come back to Casa de Pepito!

"This was our first trip to Vieques and Casa de Pepito was the perfect choice for our little family (2 adults, 1 10-year-old girl). The house itself had everything we needed, was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the location was great...walking distance to all the restaurants and Esperanza beaches, and short Jeep rides to all the other beaches and sights on the island. Octavian and Catherine were both friendly and accommodating as we were planning our trip, and Barbara the caretaker picked us up at the airport and drove us back when it was time to go home, and gave us all kinds of helpful tips about navigating the island. Would definitely stay here again."

  • A true Oasis

"As soon as we arrived at the house, my husband and I had to pinch ourselves a few times. The views are simply spectacular! We must have taken hundreds of pictures over the course of our stay. You just have to experience it for yourself. The house is well equipped for heading to all the nearby beaches - beach chairs, coolers, plenty of towels, etc. But we really enjoyed relaxing in and by the beautiful infinity pool each morning. We often used the kitchen to cook our own meals to save some money. The house is conveniently located near the town of Esperanza so it's easy to get to all the bars and restaurants. I have never had such great food and cocktails on an island before. My husband and I were very impressed with the house and the island and can't wait to plan our next trip back!"
