"This apartment is right in the heart of Esperanza. The ocean is literally across the street. It has a good balcony and is very spacious. We planned on getting groceries and cooking but had to much fun eating out instead. Everything you need is within walking distance. The apartment is on top of some gift shops with a restaurant/bar in the back. We read other reviews and were a little worried about the noise so brought some earplugs, but it was not bad at all. I would come back and stay again."

"We were so pleased by our week rental over Christmas at Isola. Our family includes two college age kids and we enjoyed the porch more than we could have imagined. We drank our coffee while reading the paper in the morning (wireless worked great!), watched the sunset over cocktails in the evening before dinner and stayed up late at night playing card games and talking. Not a single mosquito, but I understand that may have been the time of year. The beds were comfortable and the whole house was spotless. The kitchen had just exactly what we needed (a set of measuring cups would have been useful) and we cooked most of our meals there including Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners. The lobster from the fisherman was delicious and lobster pot and gas grill were great to have. Our little beach in front was a great place to do a little fly fishing in the evening - my husband's favorite activity - and we took an evening swim a few times. We had fun exploring the rest of the beaches on Vieques but the best part of our whole trip was this house..."

"This large well furnished house is in a very central location. It's in good repair, and Renee was very helpful. She picked us up, helped us unload at the house, and enlightened us on all the great local spots before dropping us off at Maritza's (We wholeheartedly recommend renting a jeep from them).
We had quick access to all our favorite locations on this quaint island. The home's location and construction made us feel safe and secure. We went to bed each night to the sound of the Coqui frogs. We made the quick drive to the grocery store and brought back steaks for the gas grill to go with the fresh veggies we had picked up from the Tuesday morning farmer's market. It took us less than 10 minutes to get to lunch and shopping in Esperanza. About the same to get to our Buen Provecho each morning in Isabel Segunda for iced coffee and Salmon Bagel. Snorkeling at Green Beach was great. We only rented the top floor for our anniversary this time, but fully intend to rent the downstairs too when we bring the kids back."

"This is our second visit to Vieques and our second stay at Journeys End. We always have a large group and this year we rented 4 homes with a total of about 35 people. This home allows the whole group to have dinner and visit either upstairs or in the outside area next to the pool. We have the best gatherings here at this home. The drive to the beaches is very easy...both the caribbean beaches or the Atlantic side of the island. All the amenities are fantastic and all the bedrooms are spacious and air conditioned. The owners have added upgrades to the kitchen since our last visit and also an outside bath and shower next to the pool.
Highly recommend this home and have had wonderful memories here!!"
