  • CASA QUE RICO!! Amazing place to unwind

"I've traveled to Vieques three times now. That being said, this was the best trip of all. The home was removed enough to have peace and quiet, the property was beautiful, the pool was inviting, and the house was perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and would choose it again for my next visit. I hope to return next year if all goes well. The owners were so easy to deal with that you just can't go wrong with choosing CASA QUE RICO for you stay on Vieques, PR."

  • Nice Getaway!

"We had a lovely stay at Isola. It was very relaxing to start and end the day overlooking the ocean and Sun Glass Beach. We found some good snorkeling just off the beach to the right. One day it was murky, but the other days quite clear. We enjoyed being so close to downtown Isabel II for shopping, dining, the ferry, etc. The house was pretty well equipped...it only had two beach chairs and 3 beach towels (some had evidently been lost along the way). And while it wasn't a big deal for us, we were surprised that there was no TV (we missed picking that up on the listing). There was internet service, so that was good. One thing we were told and read before coming to Vieques Island was that having a rental car was a MUST on the island. We found otherwise. We found a great Publico driver who was super reliable! He drove us everywhere and was always there to pick us up as arranged. One night he was still waiting for us at 11pm after our bio bay tour (which ran a half hour late), and then the next morning picked us up at 7:15a to take us Horseback riding. He drove us to & from beaches all over the island. Never accepting pay on the "to", so that we trusted he would return to get us. (That was his suggestion!) We were a group of four....and there wasn't one day that we spent as much as we would have with a rental car for the day. And with our driver we didn't have to worry about gas, parking, potential accidents, theft, etc. We had him on speed dial. Ask the property manager for his name if you are interested. VRBO won't let me post it here. Or you can find his name in my trip advisor review (5 days on Vieques without a rental car) If we were to return, we'd look him up for sure!!! Plus the parking at the house is a little tight. So if you hear you MUST have a rental car (pretty expensive on Vieques), that's just not true. In hind sight, we might have rented for just one day to explore the entire island as a group - but, otherwise, we just wouldn't bother --- our Publico driver was perfect!"

  • Paradise Found!

"My family and I just returned from the most amazing vacation in Vieques! Our stay at Los Bohios was, quite honestly, the best part of our time there. Due to our early morning risers, ages 5 and 7, we were all ready to hit the pool by 7am every day. We cranked the tunes, opened up the doors, and enjoyed our daily pool parties. While far enough away from others as to not be a nuisance, we were still close enough to activity to not be completely isolated. Esperanza is about a five minute drive from the house. The kitchen is very well-appointed! Anything you could possibly need is within reach. The three outdoor showers were a highlight as well. There is no air conditioning, but it's really not needed. The only times I wished I had it were when I would wake in the night to the serenade of the coquí. We felt like we were in good hands with Colleen as our contact on the island. She is a great resource for the inside scoop on the island. She was extremely easy to get in touch with both before our vacation, and while in Vieques. She was also able to address any questions or concerns I may have had. Thank you so much, Colleen! We can't wait until we come to visit again!"

  • Incredible....

"The Quinta Jabali was an incredible experience and perfect for our honeymoon. The views are spectacular, the gardens are immaculate, and pool is the best I have ever seen. This house has, without a doubt, some of the best views on the island. Michael and Joey were incredibly helpful. This is a great private spot for a romantic getaway. You can spend the day on at the house and enjoy the views or take a quick 5 minute drive to Esperanza and enjoy the bars and restaurants. We also were only 10 minutes away from the Hix Island House where we took the best yoga class we have ever attended. While much of our trip was cloudy and rainy (we went during rainy season), we did not let it get us down. We still got great tans sitting on the beautiful, albeit overcast, beaches, enjoyed the bars and restaurants, did yoga, and watched the storms roll across the Caribbean from the covered patio of the Quinta Jabali. I could not imagine a better place to have been in the rain. Of course, rain is a risk that one takes booking travel during the rainy season, and I believe we had an unusual amount of rain and clouds during our stay. If you consider travelling anywhere in PR or the Caribbean during the rainy season, I suggest increasing the length of your stay to increase the likelihood of sunshine. We are all very fortunate that Michael shares his amazing home with others. He keeps an incredible journal on the coffee table giving guests tips about the island and the history of his house. If you choose to stay here, please treat his home with respect so he continues to let all of us enjoy this amazing treasure."
