  • Always a pleasure

"This is our second visit to Vieques and our second stay at Journeys End. We always have a large group and this year we rented 4 homes with a total of about 35 people. This home allows the whole group to have dinner and visit either upstairs or in the outside area next to the pool. We have the best gatherings here at this home. The drive to the beaches is very easy...both the caribbean beaches or the Atlantic side of the island. All the amenities are fantastic and all the bedrooms are spacious and air conditioned. The owners have added upgrades to the kitchen since our last visit and also an outside bath and shower next to the pool. Highly recommend this home and have had wonderful memories here!!"

  • A Magical, Intoxicating Place

"This was the first trip my girlfriend and I have made to Vieques after many years of talking about going. We like to vacation in places a bit of the grid in beautiful natural settings. Last year we vacationed on Isla Mujeres off the Yucatan coast. Vieques was everything we had imagined and more. Navigating our jeep to find new beaches made every day feel like an adventure and we never stopped wondering at yet another beautiful, virtually deserted beach. It didn’t take us long to fall into the rhythm of island life. We also loved that the magnificent horses roamed free on the island along with various other species. Really hard to believe this island was so abused by the US military for so many years. And 360Vieques is amazingly beautiful home base. It is designed for you to spend as much time out-of-doors as possible. The various decks, the beautiful pool, the views from the roof with those intoxicating breezes- sigh – all made for a memorable experience. Both the design of the house and its physical location are really great. Besides sleeping, we spent very little time indoors. And even with sleeping, waking up to the amazing vista looking out to Caribbean made the start of every day breathtaking. Everything is made easy for the guests and we felt quite at home in no time. It's really hard to come up with suggested improvements. Possibly having wifi, although not having access probably helped our stress levels and kept us outside more of the time. The representation on the website is very accurate but the pictures really don’t capture the full experience. How do you capture in pictures the beautiful, warm intoxicating breezes that were a constant presence, the magnificent night sky, the changing lightscape from morning to dusk? The property managers Annette and Dennis were perfect hosts. Annette picked us up at our car rental and gave us an orientation to the island along with her favorite spots to dine, and Dennis had the unfortunate task of taking us to drop off our car rental before heading to our flight but not before talking about his island life. We'll definitely be back."

  • Perfect home base for exploring the island

"We loved our stay in Vieques and this sweet house was the perfect place to begin and finish our days exploring all it's natural beauty. Joe was tremendously helpful and welcoming when we arrived and gave us lots of great advice on snorkelling, restaurants and beaches. The house was clean, comfy and spacious for our family of four, and we also appreciated having beach chairs and a washing machine. Also really loved being able to make our own breakfasts and lunches, though the restaurant options on the malecon were so great that we always walked down for dinner and a nice evening stroll. Our favorite way to travel is to stay in places that are charming, budget-friendly and allow us to feel connected to a place or neighbourhood - Magnolia House was the perfect spot!"

  • Rarely write reviews

"I rarely writes reviews, but this place deserve it. Firstly is definitely in the best location to see VIeques, the property is so centrally located that everything is just less than 5-7 minute drive. It's is lovely designed, the swimming pool is gigantic for a villa, there are 2 security gates, the area is quiet and private. There are great amenities to enjoy full relaxation and should you prefer to stay home all day this is the place. The studio its in his own floor and well divided from the rest of the house. Outdoor grill was perfect to grill our healthy dinner. We have met the manager, Joey, he is attentive and professional. Definitely a place to come back and recommend. Professional and caring booking service with Lucia in New York and realistically sensitive to our budged. We booked two more weeks in 2015 Vieques has now a taxi service for $5 per person, we had our car only later in the vacation and should you choose not to rent a car the VIEQUES taxi will come here and pick you at the first security gate."
