"We just returned from a week at Casa de Colores, and a wonderful week it was. Communication with the owners was a breeze from beginning to end. The house was just as described, and the layout conducive to accommodating our extended family. Between the large upstairs deck, with plenty of comfortable seating and amazing views, the poolside table for dinners (and a few more lounge chairs), and the sweet little alcove (another chaise!) by the burbling fountain, there were many places to relax separately--or together. At the end of each day we all had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the upper deck, before cooking a delicious meal or going out to one of Esperanza's many delightful restaurants. The lush and well-maintained vegetation provides a home for hummingbirds, bananaquits, and kingbirds, to name just a few. The property managers were prompt and very helpful (though we didn't need any help with the property itself--it was in great condition). I'd recommend this place highly!"

"What a great stay at Casa de Pepito for our family of three's first trip to Vieques!
Octavian and Catherine's home has all of the gear you'll need for your time exploring as many of the beautiful beaches as you wish, it's ideally situated for a quick walk to the waterfront shops and restaurants on the nearby malecon, but it's also comfortable enough and well-appointed enough that you're tempted to stick around the house and lounge the day away in your home away from home in Esperanza.
This rapidly became our Casa de Pepito routine: Wake up; get a ham, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich from the bakery around the corner; decide which of the many beautiful Viequense beaches to visit that day; gather the beach towels, chairs, and umbrella; load up the cooler; and hop into our rental jeep to go visit a beach or two. In the evening - watch the kids playing baseball in the field across the street, walk down to the malecon for dinner and drinks, and buy some staples at the little store on the walk back.
Casa de Pepito's caretaker, Barbara, was a real joy to work with. She got in touch with us well in advance of our arrival, and once we arrived on the island, made sure we were very well taken of during our stay, including escorting us to the house to make sure we were comfortably checked in. Our flight arrived several hours before the official check-in time, and so I'd anticipated taking a drive around the island and stopping in a restaurant for a bit. Instead, Barbara took us right to the house as soon as we arrived. I'm sure that's not always possible depending on previous tenant's check-out, and though the early check-in was certainly not expected, it was very appreciated.
If you're looking for a vacation experience that allows you to feel a welcome part of the friendly Esperanza neighborhood, and is equipped with all you could possibly need for your stay on Vieques, Casa de Pepito is a perfect vacation home.
Note: Although I selected that I'd recommend this property for tourists without a car because you can easily get to shops and restaurants by foot, having a jeep is really the way to go so that you can explore Vieques and access the island's beautiful beaches."

"Deborah and Dennis have truly thought of every possible detail and more.
This was our second time in Vieques. The first time, we stayed at a resort but now that we traveled with our son, we explored this as an option and couldn't be happier with our experience!
The suites are very clean, the beds and linens are so fresh and delightful to sleep in. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can possibly need. There are plenty of beach toys and even ice packs in the freezer to put in the large cooler and keep all your drinks ice cold!
The views are spectacular from any direction and it's perfectly located at what feels like the highest hill in Vieques making the views simply breathtaking.
Deborah and Dennis made the booking process very easy and comfortable and were very welcoming. Immediately you feel how happy they are to share their space and give you as much privacy as you want but are always there for anything you might need.
I can go on and on about how great our stay at Cima was but it really is something you just have to experience on your own!!!"

"We stayed 5 nights in the lower unit of Casa Jenny and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We appreciated Kikito's picking us up and returning us to the ferry, as well as his pointing out items of interest on the drive. The house was convenient to every thing we needed and provided all the necessities - the washer and drier were a real bonus! It was fun to have extras like the rafts, snorkels, puzzles, etc., to make our stay more fun (especially on the several rainy days we experienced). Living like a local does include sharing their noises - roosters mostly, with the frequent cars blasting music or propaganda - but that added to making it a more authentic experience. We did not have a car, but walked to several of the nearby beautiful beaches. If we come again, we'll spring for the rental just so we can explore beaches outside our walking range. All in all, we loved Casa Jenny and our stay in Esperanza."
