Recent Vieques Island reviews

  • Always a pleasure

"This is our second visit to Vieques and our second stay at Journeys End. We always have a large group and this year we rented 4 homes with a total of about 35 people. This home allows the whole group to have dinner and visit either upstairs or in the outside area next to the pool. We have the best gatherings here at this home. The drive to the beaches is very easy...both the caribbean beaches or the Atlantic side of the island. All the amenities are fantastic and all the bedrooms are spacious and air conditioned. The owners have added upgrades to the kitchen since our last visit and also an outside bath and shower next to the pool. Highly recommend this home and have had wonderful memories here!!"

  • A Quiet Vacation Retreat

"There is really nothing I can add to all the rave reviews. My husband and I spent a week in the 3 bedroom villa and it was absolutely perfect. It has everything you need and more. It is very tastefully decorated and extremely clean. I still think of our morning coffee on the lovely terrace looking out at the wonderful view! As someone shared with me prior to the trip "the fashion police are not on Vieques"!! Packing for this trip was so easy. A few casual outfits, bathing suits and sunscreen are all you need! The restaurants were excellent and there are MANY to choose from! We both look forward to another trip to this little piece of paradise. We highly recommend Cima del Mundo!"

  • Rarely write reviews

"I rarely writes reviews, but this place deserve it. Firstly is definitely in the best location to see VIeques, the property is so centrally located that everything is just less than 5-7 minute drive. It's is lovely designed, the swimming pool is gigantic for a villa, there are 2 security gates, the area is quiet and private. There are great amenities to enjoy full relaxation and should you prefer to stay home all day this is the place. The studio its in his own floor and well divided from the rest of the house. Outdoor grill was perfect to grill our healthy dinner. We have met the manager, Joey, he is attentive and professional. Definitely a place to come back and recommend. Professional and caring booking service with Lucia in New York and realistically sensitive to our budged. We booked two more weeks in 2015 Vieques has now a taxi service for $5 per person, we had our car only later in the vacation and should you choose not to rent a car the VIEQUES taxi will come here and pick you at the first security gate."

  • Shoot'in the Caribbean Breeze

"We had the vacation of a lifetime. I kept expecting Robin Leach to step out at any minute. Palatial to say the least!!!We shared the Villa with 2 other couples along with our 2 children and our nanny and there wasn't anything we could think of that would have made our stay more comfortable. Actually we asked for a griddle the 1st day and Karen the property host dropped off a new one the very next day. She would occasionally check in to make sure we were happy and was very helpful in terms of restaurants and activity hints. Forget Robin Leach, Karen's a real keeper. The 2nd floor veranda was perfect for sunrise breakfasts and sunset pre-dinner appetizers and smoothies with a constant Caribbean tropical breeze. The kids loved the pool and billiards table and I have to say everyone loved the beds in terms of comfort. The Island has many awesome beaches to discover and lots of snorkeling opps. Great restaurants but the kitchen is so well equipped that cooking is a must. On Monday night we all went to Chez Shack for some great BBQ and Reggae dancing. I actually fell through a thin wall on the dancing floor which Ill never hear the end of. A Real blast! Hiking the property and checking out the many fruit trees was a real treat for me considering Im a tree nut. I also rented a mt bike and because the island is so small i was able to ride the whole thing in a few days. I recommend bring your own snorkel equipment, its worth it. Normally I don't ever go to the same destination twice when I vacation but Id definitely make an exception with Vista Linda. What a gem!!"
