  • One Week is Just not Enough

"What a pleasure. Condo is great as is Nettle Bay, quiet beach areas, fabulous views, laid-back ambiance, very relaxing. Nothing finer than to sit on the condo patio of an evening with a bottle of wine, a baguette from the bakery within walking distance, some fine cheeses, and pate, and to listen to the waves on the beach. No dueling stereos, no live bands, no raucous parties, wonderful. When you do want to eat out there is a choice of three restaurants a five minute walk down the beach, Dreams being our particular favourite, or further afield, we can recommend Marios Bistro in Sandy Ground, and Oceans 82 in Grand Case. As for beaches, you cannot enter the water directly in front of the condo but two minutes walk down the beach is a nice sandy bay area. We also liked Mullet Bay on the Dutch side, 10 minutes by car, there are many other small, nice looking and quite beaches around, however Orient Bay does not fall into any of those categories, by all means go there, but not before a meal, you will loose your appetite, and that on the French side is a tragedy. Thank you Patrick and Louise."

  • The Very Best First Visit to St. Maarten Christmas 2014

"We rented this condo week of Christmas 2014 and this was our first visit to St. Maarten - we are family of 5 with teenager/adult children. We would highly recommend this condo for a number of reasons if you are considering St. Maarten - our Top 5: #1: Location Location Location - great access to all of the island - close to airport and heart of dutch St. Maarten. #2: The Beach, sand and sailboats - simply awesome - quiet - like a private beach and wonderful sand/water. #3: The Condo - as part of the resort we found having a full kitchen - nicely updated and parking and attentive staff very helpful. #4: Van really is the Man - having a thorough and thoughtful and responsive owner made this a no-brainer - we've used VRBO alot and I would rate Van at the top of communication and service. #5: It's Island Living Man - simply put the island is a combination of wonderful, different, surprising and alot of fun to explore. Our top highlights were visits to the beach bar with great music, good restaurants across the street, scuba diving in Grand Case - awesome French meal in Orient Bay and just hanging out at the condo/resort. I would would recommend this condo as a great location with all the amenities and well suited for a fantastic Island visit."

  • Wonderful stay at a beautiful home!

"Great home base for our group of eight. We traveled with two small kids, ages 2 and 4, my husband and myself (29 weeks pregnant at time of stay), and both sets of our parents (all 60ish in age). This gorgeous house afforded enough common and private space for all. If this fantastic place is available for when you want to travel, stop looking and choose Oyster Pearl. Seriously. I spent so much time researching houses for rent all over the island and especially Dawn Beach/Oyster Pond area. This is the best combination of beach access, space, perfect pool, beautiful views, and luxurious finishes. The owner was helpful and prompt with replies to questions both before and during our trip. The house is better in person than in the pictures! We were so pleased with our stay and will return!! Awesome vacation from the Minnesota winter!"

St Maarten Travel Tips

St. Maarten Resorts Present a Personal Holiday

Do you want a personal stay, where it feels like the owners have set everything up just for you? If you want a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a centrally located home, and the sunrise outside your bedroom window then St. Maarten lodging is precisely what you need. Act now as every year, more and more people find the little gem that holds St. Maarten resorts. You will have your pick of St. Maarten rentals along the coastline on Antilles.

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging

Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.

St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio

A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.

Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts

St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
