  • It wasn't the ritz but it sure was nice

"Our stay was wonderful. I counted 75 steps to the beach and what a lovely beach, a view of some of the mountains, boats in the harbor-really big personal craft, houses on the hillside, Oh, my!. The people are wonderfully nice at the hotel and on the island. Driving is a bit scary, get the smallest car you can but everyone watches out for everyone else. We had a Mustang convertable and it seemed big but I am not spacially challenged. Very nice restaraunts throughout the island and this location is one of the best for lots of restaraunts. More than can eat at in a month but nothing is well marked so if you're not adventurous, stay home or eat at the hotel. It was very nice too. Not hard to find just 2 right turns and follow the signs. Have a navigator so you can watch the road and he/she can look for the signs. First time is almost a bit scary going to Mary's Boon but after a trip or two it's delightful. Have faith and just keep going. One thing about this island is that if you keep going long enough you'll end up back where you started from Due to mechanical problems our flight was cancelled and we were put up in a fancy, smancy newer hotel on the French side. Impressive place but we decided we liked our little place at Mary's Boon better."

  • enjoy the lagoon !

"A real convenient location for this two storey house just a few minutes drive from the international airport and nested in a lovely secured compound in a spit of land in the lagoon, just across a golf course and next to a water-ski club. You can really trust the pictures as well as the description, when we arrived, we felt somewhere in southern Italy or Spain, so romantic ! White walls, marble on the floor in every room and a charming roof terrace with stunning view. Perfect for the most sporty as well as for the laziest (me) : the large deck is the ideal place to bask in the sun or read on a sun-lounger, between a quick swim in the swimming pool or a little snorkling in the lagoon. The beautiful Mullet beach is just a few minutes away either by kayak through the lagoon or by car. We enjoyed every meal, from early breakfast to late dinner under the gazebo which brings also a pleasant shade in the day when the sun shines too harsh. Kitchen is well-equipped and BBQ on the terrace. All perfectly maintained and neat ! Restaurants, nighlife are also a stone's throw away, although a car is really suitable. The owner François catched us at the airport and found us a car rental at a very moderate price. A perfect week, carefree, so far from everyday worries. Without a moment's hesitation, we can warmly recommend this very charming and cosy property."

  • Perfect

"Just returned from a 2 week stay. This is our 2nd time staying at Villa Santa Clara. The kitchen has been remodeled and it is amazing! We love the location, the layout and everything about this villa. Couldn't ask for anything more. Enjoyed meeting Lily. She was very accommodating and helped out with all of our needs. She brought us a great Bordeaux, which we enjoyed tremendously. Loved the new beach towels that were provided. We even purchased some to bring home with us. Can't wait to go back!"

  • Great Escape in Anse Marcel

"We enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully well-maintained and up to date decorated condo in secure Anse Marcel. The listing photos reflected the real appearance of the condo. The quiet setting of the little sitting area in the back garden was wonderful to enjoy breakfast or an evening cocktail. The proximity to Anse Marcel beach and the Marina's restaurants and shops was very convenient. It is also close to Orient Bay (5 minutes) and larger stores for groceries, pharmacy and supplies (5 minutes) and also other restaurants in the Cul-de-Sac area. Marie-France was most helpful with answering any questions we had. We would certainly go back."

St Maarten Travel Tips

St. Maarten Resorts Present a Personal Holiday

Do you want a personal stay, where it feels like the owners have set everything up just for you? If you want a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a centrally located home, and the sunrise outside your bedroom window then St. Maarten lodging is precisely what you need. Act now as every year, more and more people find the little gem that holds St. Maarten resorts. You will have your pick of St. Maarten rentals along the coastline on Antilles.

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging

Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.

St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio

A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.

Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts

St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
