"We have just returned from 11 fabulous nights in your villa. Judith, I can't thank you enough for sharing your slice of paradise with us. Your villa is exactly as pictured and described. We didn't want for anything - except more time there! The location is so convenient to both Philipsburg and Marigot. We loved all of your restaurant recommendations, tips for getting around the island and other details your provided for our stay. We hope to return soon. Again, thank you!!"

"My wife and enjoyed Island Mermaid as it is a spectacular condo in an awesome location. The views from the balcony of the passing yachts onto Simpson Bay harbour, hills to the left that remind you of Italy with the colourful villas and a view of the bay all the way to left where you can see the airport. The condo itself is like visiting an art museum, so much eclectic collecting has been done by the owner if it is a rainy day you can still be entertained without leaving. Yes the back alley is another world, nothing but a plus in my mind. If you are new to the caribbean it may be a shock, but for those who know it is a way of life and another experience to enjoy. Roosters and friendly stray dogs provide a nice change form cars and other urban noises and we enjoyed them thoroughly. Walking down the beach to Karaker a converted school bus awesome beach from restaurant was a daily routine if we stayed in Simpson Bay. Not to mention the close proximity to all the restaurants in Simpson Bay made it at ought decision to stay in and cook dinner with a beautiful view from the balcony or head out. So we usually had wine and cheese until sun set and then off to a nice restaurant. Pineapple Petes may have had the best rack of lamb I have ever had. I would absolutely recommend this condo, and if you find anything you don't like stay another week because you are not relaxed enough yet : )"

"We were a group of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Steel Magnolias. The villa was spacious (comfortable for a much larger group) and had all the amenities required for an enjoyable stay, and then some. The Staff are very friendly and flexible. They were accommodating and available whenever they were needed. The pool area is lovely with a wonderful view of the sunrise over the eastward hills and the moonrise over Simpson Bay. Baie Rouge, which is literally steps away, is gorgeous and low key. While the main road passes below the boundary wall of the villa, traffic was unnoticeable and it does not compromise privacy. The location provides easy access to Marigot, Maho Bay, Simpson Bay, Grand Case...even Orient Beach on the eastern side of the island is a short drive away. It was a perfect spot for our vacation and I look forward to returning in the future."

"Pictures do not do this place justice. It is so spacious and nicely decorated. The view from the 4th floor balcony was spectacular. We were glad there was an elevator when hauling luggage or coming in tired from a day at the beach. The kitchen had everything you would ever need. We also loved having the washer and dryer inside the unit so we could wash swim suits, beach towels, and clothes when needed. The location of the unit is perfect. Right on the beach. We enjoyed walking to breakfast in the mornings and hanging out at the pool in the afternoon. I highly recommend renting a car since st maarten is an island that is meant to be explored. We took off everyday to the beach of our choice.. Orient, mullet, pinel island, and meads bay Anguilla. In the evening there were so many restaurants within a short mile or less drive. Karakters just down simpson bay was our favorite for view, music and an all around good time. We also enjoyed attending the Catholic Church just a short block away. The Gourmet Marche grocery store was so close and convenient and right across from the store was Atlantico Bakery, our favorite for breakfast. We also enjoyed walking down to the Yacht Club to watch the boats come in the drawbridge and for a nice happy our with tasty grouper fingers and sandwiches. So many nice touches in the condo, binoculars, soaps and amenities in the bathroom, beach towels, chairs, floats, snorkle gear, a multitude of spices and condiments (check the cabinets and fridge before going to the store as not to buy something that is already present) the honor liquor cabinet, and even a few cold beers in the fridge left from a previous guest. We also loved being able to call home on the condo land line, and easily bought minutes for the provided cell phone to use around the island. The finishings in the condo from the kitchen to the bathroom were top notch and the beds were comfy as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone I know. We are already looking ahead to coming back next year."
