"My wife and I have vacationed three times in Grand Case (including the Grand Case Beach Club, which [although beautiful] was quite expensive and a ten minute walk out of town), and this was certainly best of the three stays. The apartment is beautiful and well appointed, with a terrace overlooking the water. Fresh baguettes looking out at the beach in the morning, and stunning sunsets sipping on a fresh rose before dinner every day. Doesn't get better! The location couldn't have been better either, right in town and directly on the beach. At least a dozen or more excellent restaurants within a two to five minute walk from the apartment, and several groceries and bakeries minutes away. Plenty of botiques and art galleries if shopping is your pleasure. Anna, the caretaker was really friendly, and very helpful. She set up lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach for us, called taxis for us on several occasions, and was always around for assistance and advise. We would not hesitate to reccommend staying here, and will certainly be back ourselves."

"Lil Sugar is a lovely property situated in a gated community of well kept residential homes. I loved getting up early in the morning to watch the sunrise from the patio. There, I was greeted, with a spectacular view and the wonderful auroma of the many beautiful plantings. Lil Sugar is as advertised. The interior is well appointed and has all the necessities available for cooking a meal after a touch day at the beach 👙. Anne, the housekeeper maintains order and cleanliness thoughtful the house giving the feel of a 5star hotel without all the hustle and bustle. My husband and I enjoyed the privacy. Be sure to rent a car for there is nothing within walking distance. Mary, was a most gracious host. We had a few minor issues and after a phone call they were immediately addressed. Love the island of Saint Maarten and look forward to returning each and every winter. Thank you Mary for sharing your lovely home with us."

"We had so many plans to explore the island since it was our first time visiting, but that all changed once we made it to the house. It was perfect for us and our friends. We grocery shopped enough for a few days at a time so that we could just stay home, lounge around the pool, gaze at the ocean and watch the iguanas move around slowly. The people that we met along the way were very friendly and helpful. Our only major outings were to Busby's for lunch, Sunset Grille to watch the planes and we spent the day on the Random Wind as recommended by the owner (you can see my full review on Trip Advisor for the RW - we loved it!). All of our trips were wonderful but we really just kept wanting to get back to the house. The new kitchen is nice and the new appliances were great to cook with. We loved opening up the house in the morning and feeling it cool down with the ocean breezes. If I did it again (and I hope to), I would not rent a car. We found a reasonable driver with a nice vehicle that took us on our limited excursions. That is just my preference since we really did not leave the house much and the roads can be a little dicey in places."

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Villa Victoria is a well maintained villa high up on the hillside. Wind can be an issue and may make the pool temperature drop quite low to where it is not comfortable to swim and use the lovely swim-up bar."
