"One of the best equipped villas we have rented. An incredible amount of detail was paid. My children (age 11 & 13) have only known gated country club living and were initially taken aback by the neighborhood. However, the next day, they were playing with the neighborhood kids and dog. Christmas Eve, we walked to a nearby church for service. We easily navigated the island - both Dutch and French side. We caught a ferry for a day in Anguilla. We chartered a speedboat w/ a skipper for a day in St. Barths and lunch at Nikki Beach. Each Christmas break, we select a different island to visit. This is one island and villa that I would definitely like to revisit"

"Wow,such an amazing vacation!! My family of three stayed at Katherine's beautiful home for about 2 weeks in July. I feel inclined to point out what might set apart this home from others: It's the screen doors!! I'm so happy we chose a home that didn't have an "indoor/outdoor living space"...without screen doors separating the spaces. Why? Because of mosquitoes. Anywhere you stay in St Martin will have these pests, so bring repellent, and I honestly do not recommend any house without screen doors!
Getting back to the house, it was perfect for us. My 8 year old grew quite attached to the kitty's, and actually cried when we left. They ignored us at first, but we eventually were able to charm them to enough to snuggle with them...well, at least a couple of 'em. :)
I loved how open this home is. I loved having our small family together in a huge, open space! We especially enjoyed the pool, and loved looking over the edge, into the views! The afternoon sun warms the pool so it feels like bath water. Also, it made a nice difference having an infinity pool, because it has a bit of a "deep end", so we were able to do somersaults in the water, and play easier.
The cool mountain breezes felt amazing, especially while sleeping at night, or enjoying the sunsets in the evenings.
Overall, I absolutely would recommend this home to anyone. No negatives whatsoever.
Thank you, Katherine!!"

"My family spent a week at The Villas on Great Bay and could not have been happier. From the very first email contact I made asking about renting a villa, I had a great feeling. I felt good about the information I was given and communication I had with the owner and the property manager. And it only got better... The villa had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and the decks/porches and common areas of the villas were beautiful as well. We met several of the villa owners and lots of locals and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The property manager, Jim was top notch. He was extremely helpful and fun to talk to. The location of the villa was perfect. It was fun to walk into Philipsburg with its many stores and restaurants, and it was also nice to be able to easily go to grocery stores to buy food so we could eat some meals at home. The entire experience was perfect and very effortless. We travelled around the island visiting other beaches, but found the best beach to be right in front of our villa. We had the beach to ourselves every day. The cruise ship passengers never ventured down to our end of the beach. For a relaxing, fun, easy vacation, don't hesitate to visit The Villas on Great Bay. We will definitely be back!"

"A wonderfully relaxing week as we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Linda has provided nearly everything you could possibly need. This is a lovely 1st floor condo in a quiet, local neighborhood (not resort). We prefer to explore neighborhoods and local culture when we visit new places. I was worried that this might be too close to the airport, but that was not the case. This is within walking distance to karakter and cafe atlantico - both wonderful!
I think Simpson Bay is perfect location, somewhat protected on the south side, and a favorite mooring place for yachts and sailboats. The beach directly in front of the condo is rocky and has lots of sea grass...walk just a few minutes for a nice sandy beach.
We hired a local photographer to take sunset pictures in Mullet Bay https://www.facebook.com/LiliPetersonPhoto and a local professional massage therapist atouchofhandz.com for a couples massage in the condo. Good local options if you are looking for things in the "romantic category"
We spent a day on Celine Too...a wonderful trip to Tintamarre - snorkeling, mud baths, swimming, awesome food and drink and the crew is really top notch. Highly recommend.
Come back home to a peaceful condo, beautiful walkout view of simpson bay and the best vacation ever. Thank you Linda!"
