"We just returned from spending 8 nights at Martine's place. I totally agree with all that was said about her, responsive and gracious host. She was very patient when our wire transfer took much longer than anticipated and she was always extremely quick in answering our e-mails. The apartment interior is exactly as shown on this site, beautifully decorated with nice amenities (including ice maker in the fridge, a nice surprise). The only photo not truly depicting current conditions is the one of the "terrace" outside the apartment. What appears like nice wood planks on the photos is currently dried-up grass. And there are no bushes with pretty blue flowers. Maybe the wood got destroyed in the last hurricane and the bushes died due to the terrible drought (latter none of Martine's fault of course). But I must admit we were disappointed that the photo wasn't updated to depict the real setting. Furthermore, due to the odor from all the seaweed on the beach right in front of the property, we couldn't open the doors, it was really bad. Nothing Martine could do about the seaweed situation either (which is getting more prevalent on many of the beaches which is a shame). Just to bear in mind if you travel there soon (local authorities are looking into ways to address the seaweed problem). I think it would be fair to say that the photo of the outside of the apartment should be updated to represent the actual condition. That said, not sitting outside the apartment didn't spoil our vacation, we enjoyed touring the island and exploring many seaweed-free beaches (Mullet Bay and Baie Rouge were some of our favorites)."
