  • Our little secret , shhh !!!!! Don't tell

"I really did not want to write a review , cause , it was perfect , and I am hoping I can get in next year ... I mean don trump had a place right down the road , there is a private beach for anyone staying in Terres Basses, which has a 24hr guard gate to drive into Terres Basses , point is , it's one of the best , private , secluded beaches on st martin , many beautiful beaches . (Ya need a car) it's nice , it's beautifully located, there are gorgeous mansions , yet it's not aloof , it's laid back , clean etc.( nice big pool ) we went around the whole island twice , 7 days , rented a boat one day ' a must do , it's was fantastic week for me and my wife , Nocoart is fantastic place to stay , at the bottom of the hill there is French restaraunt's , also your close to simpson bay and all the great seafood places to eat . Or 10 minutes to Margot bay while your there grab a sandwich or French pastries at sarafinas. nocoart has a private pool . And a beautiful , articulate , serene , accommodating host and a private acreage to walk around in , as well as being secluded , there is a 8 ft wall around it and a electronic gate to a long driveway up to YOUR apt , great for a honeymoon , or a family of 4/5/6 , , don't have to rent snorkel or fins etc.. My wife and I have been to Tortola , Bahamas , Eleuthera , Jamaica , caymans , USVI , ... st martin was the best , and one main part was having the right place to stay . It's underpriced , but the host seems to be more interested that you have a good time , as I will say again we been running around the west indies for 10 years and this was our best time ;great island , more developed , yet still remote and private , st martin is great for our age and there are many places for the younger crowd ,, I have never wrote a review in my life , probably shows , but Norma at nocoart was great . oh" she has a little art school and her sister teaches on the island , just don't tell anyone else , D&L Apple"

  • Fantastic stay- worth my first review!

"This stay was beyond expectations!!! We stayed 6/29-7/5/14. This was our first time using VRBO, so we were a little nervous. However, Veronique was incredibly accommodating! The directions to the villa were exact, and the villa itself was just as the pictures promised. In addition, Veronique provided surprises to welcome us to the villa on our arrival. The place has an open-air environment; so much so, we only closed the wall of windows and the front door while we were sleeping or gone. Be aware that there are only showers and sinks in all bedrooms except the master. The guest bedrooms use toilets in the hallways, but that was not a problem for our group. The house has plenty of areas for sun and shade with a lovely constant breeze. The infinity pool is a great size and temp. The villa has snorkel gear as well as kayaks. We used the kayaks frequently to travel (15 minutes max) to Pinel Island for fresh grilled lobster (we literally picked the lobsters from a cage in the sea) and to tour the island. The food was some of the best I have ever eaten. Most of the places took such pride in the presentation of the meals. We ate most dinners in Grand Case (L'Auberge Gourmand and Le Cottage were our favorites!!! We did have a few minor issues. There was a plethora of mosquitos, but the St. Martin people are very used to it. We took plenty of bug spray, and Veronique provided a moderate amount of spray and precautions for us too. Another issue was lack of TV. We were there during the World Cup and were hoping to watch it from the villa, but the TV did not work the entire week we were there. Lastly, there is Wifi, but it is rather weak in the villa. One must stand in a certain corner of the villa to get any access. Overall, this was an amazing trip. I don't typically want to go back to the same places, but I would go back to Villa Pinel in a heartbeat!"

  • Beautiful setting

"My family of six, children ages 18,16,14 and 11 stayed for a week. Great setting and we never got tired of the view. The house is spacious and the pool/deck is wonderful. The pictures are accurate. It is very comforting having a staff on site and Maureen was great. The house is on a hillside which provides the great view, so there is a bit of a steep walk to the beach. The beach at Oyster Pond is very small and we would highly recommend the beach at Orient Bay which is a short drive. Busby's is a great little beach bar with good breakfeasts. Would also highly recommend a yacht rental at SXM. Pricey, but worth it and Pinel Island is a great place for lunch. The location was great as it was also a short drive to Phillipsburg. The only minor downside of the house is that the family room was very warm even at night. It is not air-conditioned which is understandable given the shortages on the island. The ocean breezes never seemed to cool the room down which during the day didnt matter as we were never inside, but, at night it was still very warm. May have just been the week we were there. I would recommend some larger fans in that room. Suzanne was an absolute joy to work with"

  • Vacation planner

"This condo is absolutely breath taking by itself, to the million dollar views. Our family felt like the rich and famous here for a week. The work out room has all state of the art equipment, once your done your workout, walk right up to the roof top pool to cool down. The view from there is unbelievable. We can't wait to go back."
