  • Jan 2014 Stay

"Very nice condo and terrific location. Booking was handled very efficiently by manager. This was our third annual visit to St Maarten. 2012 we stayed at Alamanda resort in Orient Bay. 2013 we stayed at Sonesta Maho. We liked this one the best. Nice having our family in one upscale unit (2 grown children and a friend). Very convenient to dining. The Sugar Cane restaurant across the street is good for breakfast/lunch. We walked to dinner 3 nights (Temptation (a must), Fig and La Gondola) and drove the easy, low traffic mile to Maho and Puerto Cupecoy 3 other nights. The 7th dinner was at one of our favorites in Orient Bay (le Piment). The grocery store is also very convenient. One thing about the condo not mentioned in the ad is the side exit from the parking lot (keycode needed) that leads to a 100 yd path directly to Mullet Bay Beach. One of the best photo ops on the island is on the bluff overlooking the beach and bay. Also the new causeway bridge is open and really cuts the trip time to the northern part of the island. We hope to return to the island next year and will definitely stay here again if it's available."

"This unit was so beautiful and convenient! I absolutely loved the views and all the amenities were top notch! I wish I could purchase this unit for myself. The rooms were great sizes the bathrooms were spacious as well! The entire condo was modernized and fully equipped! You can tell the owner paid attention to detail. The view was breathtaking smh if only I could buy that unit! This is a MUST see and MUST visit. I definitely have to go back and stay here again!"

  • Beautiful Property with Gorgeous Views

"This modern, spacious and peaceful condo has large comfortable rooms and a beautiful giant patio deck that overlooks the ocean, the mountains, Marina and large swimming pool. You can watch catamarans, mega yachts, cruise ships, airplanes and colorful sunsets on the comfortable sofa and lounge chairs. We enjoyed coffee every morning, had dinner and sipped delightful French wine on this lovely terrace. There are only 2 condos on each floor so it was peaceful and relaxing. There are large comfortable beds (King & Queen), terrific air conditioning, Flat screen tvs with extensive cable channels, washer and dryer, dish washer, plenty of hot water (which you don't always get here) and strong Wifi, which is also hard to get. There is even a Billiards table. A Gourmet Grocery store, Restaurants, and Gym are on the premises and the beach is just across the street, with good snorkeling, so you do not have to rent a car. This location is close to the airport and to the areas where there is a lot to do: Marigot, Grand Case on the French Side and Simpson Bay, Philipsburg & Dawn Beach on the Dutch Side. There is a huge surplus of places to stay in St. Maarten. You have to be careful when you find properties on the internet because they are often not what they appear to be. This condo had more than we expected. I heard from a lot of owners and the owner of this one, Morris, was wonderful, kind, caring and very responsive. He quickly and easily accommodated us on very short notice and he gave us a better rate than other owners so I would definitely chose this condo over the others!"

Cupecoy Travel Tips

Let Cupecoy Resorts Cool You off This Vacation

St. Maarten is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, and the same goes for Cupecoy resorts, nestled right in the heart of the action. You will find St. Maarten rentals with beaches on both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, but your Cupecoy lodging will not be exposed to the open Atlantic so will be a much calmer beach. Nevertheless, you will feel whisked away into the tropical haven that it is.

Clothing Is Optional on Beachfront Cupecoy Lodging

Something to note about some St. Maarten rentals is that they may be situated on a clothing-optional beach like Cupecoy. This means that some people may be nude, and if you are brave, you could be too! Regardless of the clothing situation, the beach on the southwestern corner of St. Maarten is lined with impressive rock formations and dotted with caves and cliffs. Because the surf ranges from two to three feet daily, it may not be your best bet for the kids.

St. Maarten Rentals Offer More than Just Beaches

Though the sand and surf may be the main appeal to staying in Cupecoy resorts, there is much more to do on the island. If you love the tropics and nature, Cupecoy lodging will bring both together for you. One thing not to miss is Butterfly Farm which is open daily. Take a walk through the gardens filled with hundreds of colorful butterflies and flowers. Another must see is the Pic du Paradis, which is the highest point on the island at 1,400 feet. Just be sure you have got a four wheel drive vehicle to reach the top.

Kids at Cupecoy Resorts

Obviously, the beaches and nature are hard to miss during your stay in Cupecoy resorts, but there is a lot of fun to be had as well. Many St. Maarten rentals are located near the many casinos, though most are on the Dutch side of the island. If you have got the kids with you, you might want to skip the casinos and hit Kid Connect, an activity center for kids. This will be a fun day for parents and kids alike.
